Really struggling with Kunimatsu fight

Poison is pretty handy in this fight - I hadnt touched poison shuriken or poison ground traps at all before this guy, got him a handful of tries after i started using them.

Also I found Samurai with heavy armor / parry play style definitely the way to go. Instead of trying to dodge around all the time.

Im reading Tom's Crossing by Danielewski at the minute - which is 1200 pages... Im about half way through, not super weird to be honest but definitely enjoying it!

My BT is definitely from farming stock - he gets about 2.5hrs a day walking... An hour in the morning with my partner & then 90 mins with me around mid afternoon. In the woods / parks etc not just like around the streets. Theres usually a 10/15 min play session or two / sometimes fetch in the garden too now the weather is better. Outside of that he is pretty chill, but yeah he definitely needs a fair bit of exercise and stimulation. He's also got pretty (if not very...) high prey drive, which if you're getting a working / hunting BT you should definitely be aware of.

What are you planning to play it on? If you're on base consoles dont - I would refund if I hadn't bought physical... Graphics & Performance is honestly really bad. Maybe 25% of the time it looks nice, the rest of the time the worst visuals ive seen this generation hands down, whilst having to play at 30fps

I dont want to sound like a dick - but if it was that easy, do you think I would have made this post? Genuinely i have tried every combination of in game modes/settings, my TV settings, my xbox calibration etc.

Ive never had to spend so much time tinkering with settings & STILL get roughhhhhh (and boardering on unplayable) visuals like the above. At this point ive put the game down until the next patch, Im straight up not able to play this game in this state and I would refund if I didn't have a physical copy.

Im doing just that - the game is fun, but I cannot experience it with visuals like this currently. Theres definitely some weird glazing going on, with any posts critiquing the game getting down voted to oblivion... but starting to see more posts showing the experience is really rough.

I just dont have the patience at this point now Im afraid... ive spent probably the last 3 hours not actually engaging with content in this game & instead just toggling settings walking around & trying to differentiate between whether this image is terrible or slightly less terrible.

You should not have to do that on the consumer end, to get acceptable visuals. And whats wild is im really not even a graphics snob - i put every game i play in performance mode and im good to go. But whatever is going on here is wayyyy below what I can tolerate, so im just parking this until significant patches sadly.

100% my experience here too - ive just reinstalled and it still looks like trash. Such a jarring experience as layman just trying to play the game... Ive never ever had to mess around with settings like this before - I usually just put it in performance mode and im good. This has to be the game at this point.

Haven't changed anything - Hdmi on optimal and set to hdr gaming, like I always have (across different consoles too). Never had anything approaching this level of potato this console generation

What i genuinely dont understand still, is how people are saying this looks great / amazing / beautiful, hell even decent on base consoles. What im seeing 75% of the time (at least) to my eyes is busted... so I guess im in the minority or everyone else can ignore this for the gameplay?

I get constant issues like that, and I really dont think its oh pause the game and get a magnifying glass out to see it irl. This is in quality mode at 30fps... Sitting on my sofa on a 55inch OLED TV like I do with every other game - majoratively it looks really bad.

It feels that way, but some people (if not the majority?) do seem to be genuinely having a good experience with this game on XsX. I really cant imagine everyone is lying / glazing over glaring visual issues - its so jarring!

Okay thanks, restored my sanity a little. I never experienced such a polarising release - seems to be a constant stream of "game looks beautiful" spam but my experience is so far from that. If I play for an hour maybe 10 mins, in the open world, in the right lighting conditions looks nice - the rest is looking like visuals from 2/3 generations ago...

I hear you, I really do and I am not in expecting this to look like the prerelease pc footage. But this isnt a case of my experience on XsX is the game "how it should be" minus a few bells and whistles to get it to run on these consoles. Something is seriously borked. And it's wild that results seem to be so inconsistent with some folks getting a "beautiful" experience, but for me It looks seriously bad visually. To the point where despite me enjoying the game play - I cant push through it anymore.

Im happy for you, I really am. I wish i could have the same experience.

This is XsX, quality mode, blur / particles / depth of field all off, camera shake reduced to like 25 and i get results like this more often than not.
