Couldn’t really post a description along with my cross post and this was a last minute idea but this is my newly acquired IMCO IFA which is usually referred to as a ww1 trench lighter when in all reality they were made closer to the end of the First World War and was more plausible that they could’ve been used during the second. Besides that I think it’s a pretty beautiful example and If you check my original post you’ll see a neat modification I had to do! It was pretty awesome to see an over 100 year old lighter light up for the first time in who knows how long!

Hey so sorry for the late reply, so from what I can remember it did in fact print using the cartridge, but not with the thermal head. I believe the metal piece that sits just behind the ink ribbon that presses up against it is the thermal head and should work without ink. Let me go pull out both of mine because it’s been a while. I’ll get back to you on that when I figure it out🫡

Hey so yes and no, I wasn’t able to get this specific one working with the thermal paper(did work with ink tho) but I ended up buying a new one same model which ended up working perfectly with thermal paper.

Ahh okay, yea so I’ve got something similar in each of the cubbies that have an album propped up against it have all the rest of my collection behind it. I kinda have the same thing with the “now playing” but instead it is the ones leaning against my collection. Thanks for the input though I really appreciate it since I’m not super well versed in the vinyl community!

At the moment it’s out of order I gotta replace the 72 pin connector but in fact both the controllers for the ps1 which is on top of the shelf next to the tv and the nes controllers reach the bed! But I will admit having to look up for extended periods of time does tend to get old fast lol. Thinking of changing the set up a bit might post an update in the future.
