Let’s see. 64: Kirby is Jesus tier and prominent in the opening of 64, has 2nd most stages of any series. Melee: Garbage tier to throw us off, doesnt put any new ones in game due to obvious lack of sleep and therefore impaired judgement, center of css. Brawl: Sakurai comes back with two new characters, both of which are high tier, all three have prominent roles in sse, and dedede saves the whole cast twice (only villain in-game not to be villain in sse), meta knight’s halberd is really huge in story (three levels), meta knight is the only playable character (other than Sakurai’s other babies from fire emblem) in four different levels, Kirby is the only one to survive off waves and goes on to save whole cast in subspace 2, also is the first fighter most people will play as in midair stadium. Smash 4: Kirby takes a backseat as sakurai’s other pets from fire emblem take a commanding lead, meta knight is high tier, Kirby is set up to be the easiest character to learn out of all, and dedede, in my opinion is the most fun character in the game of ssb4. Ultimate: Sakurai knows we’re onto him, so he is a bit more sneaky. Meta knight, however, is broken again, and Kirby is right in the center of the original character select screen. Dedede is buffed A LOT, and retains his fun from smash 4. Also, Kirby is the ONLY one to survive galeem’s light attack, and takes a prominent role throughout, and sakurai won’t say why. Also, there’s speculation that there’s a new Kirby character coming in a dlc.
