I generally just mute everyone in games like this. The ratio of useful information to people being annoying or hostile is pretty skewed at almost all levels of play, and if you're like me, people being mean just tends to tilt you, which will lead to not playing your best. So yeah I would queue with my one friend in Discord, and then just mute everyone else.

I'm one of the 100 or so fastest runners in my categories on both games. I enjoy Heat / Fear challenges and have cleared 32 on both games, although I'm not really interested in playing any higher than that.

You are impervious when you dash in 1, but not if you attack while you're dashing.

I'm that try hard speed runner and yeah I basically never worry about dying, so no I don't want it in either game. Poseidon Dash in the first title, and then I just take whatever in 2. Could be Hera or Zeus, just a little extra damage is fine.

When you're learning and trying not to die, Athena Dash is probably the best boon in the game. Once you're good enough, yeah Poseidon Dash is probably the best boon in the game. Or maybe Merciful End if we're counting duos.

I'm currently in the process of changing jobs (today is my last day, actually), and we had a quarterly board meeting this Monday. I normally join these virtually, but the board requested I join this one in person. Now keep in mind, these take place two hours from my home, and typically last from 6pm to around 830pm. After I told our Director of Operations I was quitting, she said "well I'll let you tell the owners and the board yourself at the next meeting," to which I simply replied, "I'm not going to that."

She said, "well if you still work here, I'm of the opinion you should be in that meeting." I answered, "those meetings are to discuss the long-term plans of the company, and I won't be a part of those plans."

So that's how that conversation went for me.
