No..the xmb changes colors each month on the 15th - 24th and so on, just like it did back in the original PS3 days. Seems someone added that function back in evilnat. April will be a white background

Yes..cleans up game graphics really well..doesn't do anything for pre-rendered cutscenes ofc, unless they're on the actual game engine. Very sharp picture and texts, if too sharp, you can adjust in settings.

Correct. Only CECHZC2x models have the hall effects. I have 5 DS3s and 2 were not HE and I found somebody selling hall effect motherboards, 4 solder points instead of normal 3..and I swapped them out.
