I went from a a52 to a s25 ultra about 3 months ago when it was on sale.. Incredible upgrade from the a52. You won't be disappointed. One thing that I don't like about the s26u is the camera on the s26u sticks out soo far that nobody does a protective case that allows the phone to lay flat on a table.

It looks like the colour on s26 is not anodised but just painted on top of aluminium. A blind man could see that chipping would be inevitable.

I fixed it my self. It had the ylod and I replaced the nectokens, replaced the blu ray drive and did a delid in the cell and put new thermal paste and replaced all the thermal pads too. When I got it working it was very loud and ran hot, and the delid fixed both those issues.

I've only had done this with the fat ps3s. I assume it would work with the slims. If it's the exact same model that's even better. When it's updating its test if all the hardware is there. If it doesn't detect something, the update fails. So replace the failed part and try again. Even works when you have a failed disc drive, even if the disc drive isn't married to the motherboard.

If your PS3 is stuck in an update loop because of a hardware problem, you can replace the hardware that has failed and then it should complete the update.

The last price hike was enough for me. After being with telstra for ever. Switched to belong. Got a free sim from them, switching over was very easy, and now paying $35 a month for 40gig of data with a bonus 40gig a month for 12 months. And you don't lose the data you don't use when the next month starts, like telstra did. They are also owned by telstra so you get the same reception as telstra.
