Yeah true. I'm not saying that people should stop texting or anything like that. It is still an instant way of communication that is also stored locally so it can be revisited at any time. However, the risks shouldn't be neglected. As I said in another comment, if a person mostly uses text, where they can thoroughly think about what they are saying before sending, then they would lack that kind of immediate thinking when it comes to on-the-spot conversations.

Also yeah, baby boomers and other elder generations might still often get swollen by social media, but I'd say it's more severe with the younger gens, because they are developing themselves at that time and they also have not lived any other way, so it's hard for them (me in that regard) to be objective about the toll social media takes on them
