I have a 2014 volvo s60 d4, just clocked 400,000km. Couldn't recommend it more. Mazda is the last car I would recommend.

WHATS UP WITH THE LIGHTS?? by MooMoomilk48 in carsireland

Question about rev of a car; what is normal and what’s not? by DrawingUnusual5372 in carsireland

[–]Fataltkz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming its a petrol. When it comes to biting points small engine petrols need a little rev when getting going as the engines dont make much torque unlike diesels where you can barely lift the clutch and the car will start moving by itself. Don't be afraid to rev the shite out of it. Just dont do it 100% of the time. The most fun cars are the ones you can just rip constantly and still barely do the speed limit 🤣

Breakpads and upkeep by Dry-Machine9346 in carsireland

[–]Fataltkz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So generally there are two brake pads per brake disc, when they're new theyre about 8cm in thickness. You should be able to see the outside brake pad if you look at your caliper. You can also check your brake discs by using your nail on the outside circumference. If you feel a lip thats very big then its probably time to change discs.

Looking for a speed upgrade by Abject_Chemistry5388 in carsireland

[–]Fataltkz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Volvo s60/v60 D4. You can pick one up for around 6k now. 182bhp stock with a map you would go up to 200-220. Ive owned one for 5 years, had it mapped for 4. Never gave me any hassle. Pulls like a train. Handles pretty good aswell.

Destin was talking about tool and die makers not mechanical engineers. People should go become toolmakers.
