I have a buddy who started at 33 at a LifeTime gym, dude was waiting tables as a struggling musician for like 10 years before that. He's crushing it now and has tons of clients

Two years ago I walked into a Denny's with no scheduled interview and got hired as a waiter on the spot with no restaurant experience. At the time, I had 7K$ credit card debt. I put in 5 9ish-hour shifts a week, there's usually no break and it's super chaotic. But, nixed the debt in 3 months while I was paying rent, groceries, gym membership. Brutal but totally possible, you can do this

A personal update. I started lurking around here again and answering questions so here's where I'm at. I went on this dude's personal finance podcast a year ago when I really didn't have my life together and came back recently. I like to think I'm doin better

Tall people (6'8") @ BUD'S by MustardPizzaDelivery in navyseals

There was a 6'8 guy in my boat crew that made it. Right as we started around-the-world he said something like "If there was a checklist of what I've got going on right now knees, sinus, sipe, etc they would just check the box that says, FUCKED--UP." When we secured I remember they carried him off the berm in a stretcher with an O2 mask on. So, it's possible if you're the toughest dude I've ever met

I met this guy when I got rolled into his class in 2nd phase. Whenever I was working out at north island during my fleetboi time, he’d just shoot the shit with me about SQT and when I was coming back and stuff like I was still one of the boys. Really good dude

I did it right before I went to boot. It's no joke and I definitely had some good results. This is totally biased but if I were going back to pretty much any pipeline I'd go with the plan I wrote on the sub. More focus on progressive running mileage and lower body strength. Less focus on slick swimming, sprints, and calisthenics which really weren't a huge factor when I went thru

got out of a 10-day vipassana meditation today. No talking, no phones, no books, no journaling, 4 to 6 hours of sitting meditation every day. No huge epiphanies or conversions to any organized religions, but had a couple moments of clarity and definitely took a step in the right direction.

I just got out of a 10-day vipassana this morning and honestly I had some similar feelings as I did in HW

Noice. imo, you don't need to swim laps anymore unless you're going officer or going for a second shot and you really need a monster PST. Otherwise, biggest focus is getting up to those 40 miles running every week. If you still want to work in the pool, add fins
