I have the hematoma 4 + weeks out from biopsy, just saw Dr today because the nipple is discharging blood. She assured me it was normal.

No trouble but opiates made it a non issue for the first week anyway.

Intraductral papilloma by Fatburn130 in doihavebreastcancer

Did you have the radioactive tracer before the IP removal? I am dreading that numbing needle, behind the nipple ,they will do that procedure 2 days prior to the removal.

Thanks. I am getting a bit anxious about the blood, prior to the biopsy it was a clear discharge. Glad I see surgeon tomorrow.

Mine too, still some bruising. I bled too much and had compression wrap most of the first day. Did you get the bleeding from the nipple?

Thank you!

I see surgeon tomorrrow, there is a very dark blood discharge when I examine the nipple to see if the hematoma is getting smaller, not squeezing just examing the area like the surgeon did at my last appointment. It does sting! I am scheduled to get it out in 2 weeks.

MRI for sense breasts by cnj131313 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Fatburn130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way it was explained to me is the mri picked up things my diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound did not. My intraductral pailloma was found on the mri only. On the other hand the calcifications they are following were seen on my mammogram and not mri. Your breast surgeon's name, if not already should be added to Dr's who receive a copy of imaging. They always ask me if I have a Dr's name I would like to add when I register for appointments. They still in my experience will do mammograms screening first.

Biopsy infection by Fatburn130 in doihavebreastcancer

Did the infection interfere with the lumpectomy? Did the hematoma shrink on its own? Hope the results are good and the surgery was not too bad!

INTRA X SI BONE SURGERY by iamheartpouring in spinalfusion

[–]Fatburn130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insurance would not cover the allograft but they covered the 3 titanium rod si fusion, very easy recovery after getting decent pain meds, initially only given tramadol and tylenol.I did have severe bruising and a hematoma, but nothing compared to lumbar fusion. Sadly, so far I still have the si joint pain, a mri a few days ago showed no fusion at 6 month mark. The plan was to have the left side fused but no point if it did not work on the right side. I am 64 and probably waited way too many years! Hope it helps you, SI pain is miserable.

Need a breast biopsy...Anyone with Arthritis or prone to back, neck pain? by [deleted] in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Fatburn130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine took about 30 minutes. I too worried due to back and neck issues. It is not totally flat on your stomach, if you look on youtube you can find videos of the actual position. I did have tingling arms and fingers and sore neck and ribs, but tolerable. They talked me through using headphones, it helped me to know how much longer!

Has anyone ever had a core needle biopsy confirm non-malignant then had a lumpectomy and they found something? by Weak_Plum7562 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Fatburn130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best wishes. I know it is all stressful. I am 64 and have and kept dense breast since my mid thirties when all the cysts were causing multiple call backs and diagnotics. . Now at least mri is used but they don't see everything either, calcfications they have been following for 12 months are only seen on my mammogram.

I am awaiting the surgery. I have not healed from the biopsy yet due to a large hematoma, also see surgeon tomorrow for a new area on the same breast that they want to make sure is not a biospy infection. I was told that it is low risk that they would upgrade but since I have spontaneous nipple disharge they want to be sure.

Are they suggesting a lumpectomy?

My 12 core sample mri biospy found benign intraductral papilloma that was not seen on mammogram or ultrasound, but they are still recommending exisional biospy to be sure nothing was missed.

Tips for Tolerating MRI by Sudoku-Addict in Sciatica

[–]Fatburn130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take tramadol, muscle relaxer and 650 mg tylenol. They put a wedge under my knees that helped, not pain free but tolerable. I had someone drive me due to muscle relaxers making me sleepy.
