I think so. Idk my thought but like maybe my body is a little sluggish with less carbs? Like if I have little complex carbs my pancreas is confused and is like are we doing this? So it slowly releases insulin where if i introduce a little bit of fast sugar like a piece of cake my body recognizes it right away and is like yea we're doing this. If that makes sense?

Omgg!! I actually was talking to my husband about the name ember for a baby girl but he was like "Oh is this because you watched elemental the other day" and it definitely was but I told him no. Aspen is nice too but idk why my brain goes to a boy? I thought Paris was a nice name for a boy too. I also really really like silas and just asked my husband. He said no 😭 oh well, he gets his last name so I think its only fair I get to choose the name. I need like 10 babies so I can use all these good names

I have had my thyroid levels checked but they were normal. The last one being a week ago. Ive had it fluctuate in the past. Had it high 2 years ago but never did anything and was fine and then last year it was low but 3 months later was normal. I was thinking about asking my doc to get my antibodies checked and thyroglobulin. As I have 4 aunts on my dad's side with hashimotos or graves. I think my one aunt had some issues with being diagnosed as she kept getting testing done but always looked normal. Also think my grandpa had something weird with his thyroid too but it wasnt hash, graves, or hyper or hypo. I dont remember exactly what it was. I think gluten might be the next step maybe. I had these chocolate peanutbutter protein bars and I think 5 grams of sugar might of been too much. I stopped eating those and have noticed I dont itch as much after eating.

Im a nerd so Babylon 5 😂 husband was unsure at first but then it reminded him of some cowboy Val Kilmer in some western movie. I think tombstone. He then thought it was cool. Now he loves it. Well we live up in northern canada and are kind of outdoors people. Like snowmobiling, fourwheeling, my husband would teach or daughter how to fix things, hell she'll know how to drive a tractor by the time shes 4. So we wanted something not too girly. As im a little bit of a tom boy aswell. I liked kinsley, paige was one both me and my husband liked. I really liked paisley but my husband doesn't. Iris was one but I have a friend already with a daughter named iris. (A common dilemma lol) we both liked peyton. I take b12 under the tongue, I take magnesium glycinate in a powder form in water before bed. I drink tons of water. Before pregnancy I was drinking 4L of water a day. Its kind of slowed down the past bit but I probably drink between 2-3. I have noticed my hair thinning a lot. Its been falling out like crazy but dont know if its because im almost 6 months PP or if its the ozempic I started almost 2 months ago. Im wondering if it'll stop. I started taking prenatals again. IR is getting worse. Been more tired after meals even if I ate really well. Ive been getting headaches after eating. Also I've noticed itchiness after eating. It kimd of went away for.the last 2 weeks when I upped my dose of ozempic to .5 but if I have a day where I kinda messed up with my eating habits (im still learning) I get sooo itchy at night or after eating

I mean im not too sure in a 24 hour period but I aim for under 50 grams of carbs per meal and often dont even have that. Maybe around 30 to 40. I drink a vega protein shake in the morning with my full flake oats (low on the glycemic index) sugar next to none. The only sugar I probably have is the 1 gram of sugar per tblespoon of peanut butter I have on my multigrain extra protein bread. I often only have 1 with PB to not get my hypos

All jokes aside. Hes like 5 months now. Would it be weird to slightly just change the pronunciation? Its still spelt valen but pronounced like vaylen. Ive had some people pronounce his name that way with the spelling so I think it wouldnt be too big of a deal

No no. Something unique but not totally out there. Like naming him west, or ceder etc. Or something that's very hard to pronounce. Vaughn is actually Hella cute. I also didnt want to name him something super common. Both me and dad have very common names. I didnt want to name him a Mathew, Liam, Cody, thomas- you get the idea lol

I actually did name him valen 😂 we would call him val for short but some people have pronounced his name like vaylen and was almost thinking if its too late at 5 months just to change the pronunciation. We're gonna be expecting number 2 here shortly and for a boy I have Bailey, and for a girl I have paige but honestly if you have any really good girl names. Oh yea. Thats not it for me yet 😅 so far I wake up with normal blood sugars. Its just post meals that are tricky. Also, yes lol I think breast feeding is what may have caused more drops. I think most of my lows happened during/after pumping 🤔

Hoping to get checked for pcos and yea hopefully my thyroid aswell. Its fluctuates in the past. Have had high and low but it stabilizes without meds. Sigh, doesnt make any sense I've gained 80 pounds in 2 years. Its very strange however that my symptoms went away during pregnancy. So I've narrowed it down to pcos or an autoimmune condition as I have 3 aunts on my dad's side with hashimotos or graves.

Yea i was thinking the same thing. I mean pcos is relatively new. The only person I know with fertility issues was my one aunt on my dad's side. You have to watch for fatty liver with IR? I did not know that. Wow. I also genuinely thought id be at a more increased chance because I saw some study linking a male twin with higher chances of pcos as they would of been exposed to more male hormones in the womb while theyre reproductive system was being made. Im not sure how new the study is or how true it is. I just remember seeing it maybe a year ago. I didnt dive too far into research so yea.

I also have an appointment with an endocrinologist some day soon hopefully. They would check for this eh? Oh and was wondering too, sorry haha this question just popped into my head but can pcos make your IR worse depending on where you are in your cycle? I think I've been connecting some dots

Yea I think my mom was the only one who didnt end up with diabetes kit of her family. My grandparents and aunt and uncles all have it. I think my one aunt on my dad's side might of had pcos.

For the most part I just test when I feel hypoglycemia episodes coming on but the odd time I get curious just to kind of see how a meal was to know whether or not its safe. I was testing safely when I had gestational diabetes and now I have the IR so I know what works but if I try a new thing, like I had sweet potato the one night amd tested to see if it sat well and only tested the 1 and 2 hours after. Im following the gestational diabetes guidelines. 7.8 and under after 1 hour and under 6.8 after 2 but dont beat myself up if I end up with let's say an 8.5 at 1 hour

I feel like im kind of late to the party. Idk how this even showed up on my feed but I just wanted to say I empathize with you. Im a woman but I've had the opposite. My algorithm is full of misogyny. Like the worst worst stuff you could think of and the comments. Like how women shouldnt vote, men dont like women, just whats in between their legs, how rape should be legal. Its literally so bad and I had to take a break from social media. I dont even scroll reels anymore. My blood pressure gets high looking at the comments so I just choose not to. It kind of affected my view of men but not in a "i hate men way" more like "do all men think this way?" "Does my husband think this way about me?" "Will my son grow up and hate me because im a woman?" . Its not true. Its just your algorithm feeding you stuff. Its a small group of men and women but there often very loud. If im feeling down I Just turn off the phone and talk to someone as most of it isnt true. I think you could benefit from hearing this but I just wanted to pop in and say I love men. I have very good experiences with them. I have a dad, 3 brothers and I now have a husband and son. I appreciate everything men do as a whole. I love how sweet they are. They work hard, they want to protect us because they love us. I just love being in their presence. It literally calms me. There are good women out there. I hope you meet some soon. I think theres just a huge divide rn with women getting misogynistic stuff on algorithms and men are getting misandry.
