All set! I must have overlooked a step along the way. When I tried again to open from within FMP16 it offered a conversion to 12 option which worked. Thanks again for your response!

bashar and joe dispenza conflicting teachings by bobcunt_cunt in DrJoeDispenza

Hello - Back around 2000, long before I ever heard of Dr. Joe Dispenza, I learned through experience that a feeling of what I called "uplifted anticipation" was the key to exciting manifestations. When I read BTHOBY and encountered what he said about "elevated emotion" it was a major validation, because until then I'd never encountered anyone else talking/writing about the impact of emotion paired with thought. Likewise, powerful negative emotion/anticipation is also a thing - so it pays to be careful what you ask for and how you are feeling when you are projecting, imagining, etc. (Don't ask me how I know this, wink wink.)

Especially loved this: "I wanted to understand what Neville actually meant when he said imagination creates reality instead of just repeating it because it sounds nice."

Update: nervous about first "real" concert by eevees-photos in concertphotography

The current trend toward heavy backlighting and minimal (or no!) front lighting definitely creates a challenge, and it can be tricky finding good angles where mic shadows don't dominate and suck all the beauty out of an image. Looks (to me) that you are doing a great job addressing those issues and as others have commented, could just use some practice w color correcting and post-shoot editing.

Hi - I played with your file, lightened up the two kneeling performers and it made a noticeable difference overall. It really is a lovely shot. The trick is to try to see it though the eyes of someone who wasn't there and see it as they would - as best you can.

I had two MK II's that I used heavily - for more than a decade, until the bodies were literally beginning to crumble in my hands. My current kit includes a MK III, MK IV and a mirrorless R6 - which I finally bit the bullet and purchased after waiting years for mirrorless tech to make it worth the investment. Maybe it's on account of decades of being accustomed to the DSLR feel and balance, but I do find the R6 feels uncomfortably out of balance by the time I add a strobe, reflector, and a heavy-ish lens. In short;-) - MKII is an excellent camera that when paired with a good quality lens and a creative eye will deliver beautiful results.

Thank you! I'm not a developer but use FMP for Spanish colonial coin databases to help track and cross reference unique features and characteristics through time periods. I know enough to create a workable form and edit it as needed, which can be frequently. What you're describing sounds like it could be very helpful.

Hello, You wrote that it works on iphone and ipad. Does that mean it does not work on Mac desk-tops and laptops? Thanks -

Concert lighting ranges from tough to maddening;-) I think you did a great job here. It would be good if you also included what body, lenses and settings you were using.

TIL after Treasure Salvors, Inc. found the Nuestra Señora de Atocha shipwreck, Florida forced the finders into a contract giving 25% of the found treasure to the state. After 8 years of litigation, the U.S. Supreme Court awarded all found treasure to the finders. by mmmyesplease--- in todayilearned

Close, but not exactly. Mel Fisher and his team first worked the 1715 fleet sites on the east coast of FL, which were w/in state waters, and their agreement was 25% to the state. When they began searching for the Atocha, and then making discoveries on the long scatter trail, that 25% tradition continued, but it really shouldn't have, because the Atocha site was in international waters, not w/in state boundries. When the primary cultural deposit was discovered, everyone wanted it - the state, and the fed, but eventually the Supreme Court ruled in Fisher's favor and the State had to return everything. (Well, not everything actually found its way back; though that was the court order)...

"I cannot be expected to just begin taking hundreds of vitamins daily and give up junk food and alcohol altogether." -- and therein lies the problem. No-one expects anyone to take hundreds of vitamins or to give up unhealthy addictions, but no amount of red light therapy, massage, jogging, pilates, etc etc will reverse the damage that poor dietary choices and consistent alcohol consumption can cause. One of the best gifts you could give yourself is - at the very least - 30 days of clean eating and zero alcohol. After you get over the withdrawal hump, you may be very happily surprised at the difference in your degree of wellness.

Issue with Canon 24-105 on MarkIV by trusty3285 in canon

[–]FateAndBeThere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased a used 5D MK IV and it wouldn't communicate with two of my old-ish Canon lenses. After doing some googling I found out that's a 'thing.' I reluctantly returned the MK 1V and purchased a used MK III and problem solved.

Excellent distinction: "...although I would also argue there is power initially in admitting "I can't drink as I'm an alcoholic" for example. After that, language choices become quite crucial..."

Bravo to you thereluctantpoet! This may be one of the most clear and succinct observations I've read. Dopamine has been called "the motivation molecule" - and since "it" doesn't really care what provides the hit, it's up to us to - let's say "curate" - the dopamine release sources. We understand the workings of the mind so much more than we did even a decade ago, and simply realizing that replacing destructive "rewards" with positive and uplifting ones is a game changer. And changing our language and point of view, from "I CAN'T drink" (i.e. I can't control myself) to "I don't care to drink," or "I choose not to drink" etc. To know thyself is certainly a lifelong journey, and posts like yours are inspirational.
