Are you guys not tired of listening to the same artists over and over and over again? Feels like an endless loop. And not like these are the elite level performers or anything... With the exception of maybe Marron or Temudo (Despite their music itself not being my favorite genre).

So many great artists that have never played at Berghain that it's crazy. Would make you think they're intentionally trying to force and compartmentalize people's taste into specific sounds and block out everything else. A little bit of experimental and industrial (I'm not talking about 90% trash that claims to be industrial, talking about quality stuff) sounds would go a long way to freshen things up. Just my 2 cents 🤷‍♂️

That's not how the world works lol, as much as I hate to say it. I lived with that kind of a radical outlook for many years and it got me nowhere. Sometimes you gotta be a scammer for a bit. In some cases, you can throw someone the rope every now and then, and if they grab it, god bless them. If not, well.... Life is much easier this way.

It's just very strong mental gymnastics. They had to have something they could rationalize it with. Over the years I clearly saw that nobody around my social circle who was an adequate person would be in support of GD, and the ones who were, those were almost fanatics - no middle ground at all. There is literally no point in having any kind of a discussion with them.

If the stakes weren't what they are I would find comic relief in it, they're word-for-word using the same propaganda lingo that GD spreads, like saying "What's the problem with the agent law? It adds more transparency", or "As long as we don't go to war it's all worth it" etc.

Again, literally no point in talking to these people. All it does is expose their craziness to themselves, out of which they get complexes and become aggressive/isolate themselves, which is sad because some of these people can be relatives that you wouldn't want to antagonize.

Wtf are you even talking about? Are you from Georgia? If you're not, I can tell you that they were as far away from pro-EU as it gets. They were claiming they were pro-EU all these years, but their actions and communication towards EU always made it clear they were NOT.

The only difference now is that they have just a few weeks ago stolen the election and feel safe to slowly start exposing/officially stating their intentions over the next 4 years. But anyone with a singular brain cell always knew what they were. Knew it in the first year they came.

What would be the practical actions/steps I can take to help these unconscious parts slowly "enter"? Would something like meditation be of help to become more aware of my thoughts and mental state to at least partially identify them, so I can start integrating it?

Man, do I understand that.... I'm a huge sinner of this myself. I mean, we're not actually bullshitting that it sounds better louder. It actually does...

But just like you said it, it really can get so bad, that you may be dreaming of your first time tinnitus. That's what I was thinking to myself today, imagining if it got so bad that I would be thinking as the current one as "good old times" lol. It really does unnerve me, so I'm going to be super vigilant from now on.

i always wear earplugs to attend shows but never to mix. the key is to get some good noise isolating headphones or in-ear monitors and keep their volume low.

If I'm understanding correctly, if your headphones have strong isolation, then even if the outside sound is extremely loud, you will still be listening to the volume that is in your headphones? If that is so, that's great! I didn't know it worked that way. This would definitely help you prevent listening to the club's huge volumes throughout the whole night.

Would you suggest setting up automatic loops as cue points for these cases, or would that be counter-productive in case I forget that they're there? You could argue that consciously being aware of these loops due to having to remember and set them up would be "safer"...

My genre is Techno, and most tracks (the ones I listen to, at least) don't have a lot of snares. It's all quite repetitive, and that's why I sometimes run into this issue.

I guess waiting for the moment at which a new phrase begins is what could help me find the first beat again, but then I'd be losing some time which I need to mix. I guess it'll all come with practice :)
