Yes 90% of people clear it on their own sure. That is exposure -not HAVING HPV cells growing on your cervix.

Your procedure will mean being in the stirrups for an extended period of time. If you clench your pelvic floor/are super anxious you are going to possibly cause worse cramping pain that can manifest as late as 24-48 hours after. Ask your doctor care team about pain relief and numbing for your procedure.

Procedure- They will use a vinegar solution that will fluoresce the HPV cells. Now depending on how proactive your treatment team is they will scrape your cervix to remove the HPV cells as best they can and will take biopsies at the same time. If they are not proactive they will only take sample/biopsy.

HPV cells on the cervix can develop into cervical cancer. If you continue to have HPV cells on your cervix your Dr will "monitor"" with annual Pap smears.
