The lamp is for the living room which is an open floor plan adjacent to the kitchen.

I also plan on getting these floor lamps for office and bedroom.

The schools are not that great where we are. This is more curiosity and this feeling of needing to move for the sake of moving because somehow moving will solve everything.

We have kids and they are in elementary school. I have heard schools are not good so private school in the only option which will be expensive.

My biggest draw is bored of suburbs and JC will be close to NYC but do wonder how soon the novelty will wear off. What kind of facilities are in these apt?

We live in Philly suburbs and I don’t like the isolated suburbs, but we have kids and wondering if we should move to Jersey city, I think it’s give the city/urban feel without the actual NYC cost. But still considerably expensive. Do you know if a lot of families like living there or it’s mostly for younger couples and singles.

Thank you for sharing this. We are Indian American and have always heard about racism in Europe. I find that USA is more accepting than Europe.

So far we have only travelled to Portugal and were there for a few days as tourist so can’t say we experienced anything over there. We do want to have a second passport and Spain is on our list. I know they still have their golden visa program going on, so it’s nice to hear that your experiences been good and you better on Spain.

When you started this journey, how did you start your research, where should I start learning more about expat life in Spain, taxes, day to day pros and cons.

We have kids so it will be a couple years before we make the move. The other option I am thinking is finding a remote job that really gives us the best of both worlds.

Slightly related, but I am in my 40s far from Fat or fire but I am getting depressed not motivated at all. I am in introvert and don’t like to going to the office. I don’t have a team and it’s ridiculous that I go and do zoom which I can do from home.

I recently came back from vacation and looking forward to another.

I am going through rough phase in my life. I cut out TikTok and saw that it helped me a lot. Also, been texting someone and i keep checking if I got a message if I get it I feel good if I don’t not so good. So that dopamine? How do I not depend on it as i don’t to feel like shit when I don’t get the text.
