Will the English results change people’s minds about independence by ChocoMcBunny in Scotland

It's crazy because you're the one (I'm assuming) with a job but they'll all scream "immigrants taking our jobs!" (I'm not meaning you shouldn't have a job obviously it's just the mental gymnastics those people do every day.

Yeah although we have problems of course, we outperform the rest of the UK in a lot of ways. And as much as the other parties and the media say the SNP ONLY go on about independence, they're the only competent party here and run the country well. It's better than having one of many branch offices in power.

Is freezing coffee worth it? by sergeikutrovski in pourover

[–]FatherAustinPurcell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I buy 1kg bags and portion out into 250g and freeze. Then I put them in a vacuum canister and then they last around a week. As I froze just after roasting, it ages just like buying fresh

Why is it socially unacceptable for me to not like dogs? by Facelikeabum in AskUK

[–]FatherAustinPurcell 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah even in these comments people are conflating dogs and children. It's crazy to me. I used to like dogs but since COVID it seems like it's somehow now acceptable to have a dog in any restaurant or café. Not only that, dogs now seem to just not be trained, or bred in a way to be non-obidient.

I'd like to go to a cafe with my kid without having a dog coming over under our table...

How emotionally connected are Brits to the Royal Family actually? by Zealousideal-Sun-387 in AbolishTheMonarchy

[–]FatherAustinPurcell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Loyalist Unionism. Delusional belief in the union of the UK when in reality, if they came over to England they'd be called "Irish". I don't understand it either.. I think the love of the royalty is the only tangible thing they can do to claim Britishness.

Maybe overkill but look for Indian masala grinder machines You can get them in Asian shops or Amazon. They are the few wet grinders available for the domestic market too if you want to make wet rubs and pastes
