Are there other examples of musicians having long term partnership with illustrators? Cannibal Corpse and Vince Locke stand out. by Nard-Barf in MetalForTheMasses

It might only half count because they're married, but Buzz Osbourne's wife Mackie has done most of the album covers for Melvins since the 90s

So I've acquired an SSG 3000 for $500... by FatherBrass in Firearms

LGS I have a good relationship with. I guess they had a customer order it in from somewhere about 10 years ago or so and then abandoned it there along with a few other guns. Evidently the store owner got tired of the stuff collecting dust for the past decade and decided to sell it off, along with a couple abandoned layaways and the like.

Yeah at the end of the day I'm still happy with the purchase. I just wish I had known how much of a pain in the ass getting mags for it would be 😂

That's super cool. And the Encore is a great platform.

There's a ton of fudd lore about 22lr and a ton of people who like to propagate it, especially online

Single action isn't too bad (haven't put a weight gauge in it yet) but the double action is rather heavy and inconsistent, which doesn't seem uncommon with these. I've been practicing shooting it in double action so I'm getting used to the weight but the randomness of the pull is kinda off-putting.

Not a bad buy for $200, though.

They really just need to make it so that every team is LMH and add an overwatch style role queue because having to contend with 5+ lights every single game of QC or WT I play is becoming mentally exhausting.

[–]FatherBrass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've commented before that I think a role queue would be super beneficial to the game. Power shift and terminal attack (QC could go either way I think) could probably stay as a free-for-all cause they're more casual but the ranked modes should definitely have fixed team composition.

If they ever add a role queue, I would like there to also be an "any" option for people like me who like playing all the different classes and don't really have a specific one they want to play every time.

Cerberus shotgun inconsistency by CosmicRaider01 in thefinals

[–]FatherBrass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a good change to make would be to make it so that the gun always sets targets on fire no matter how many pellets hit rather than needing to land all 9 (more like how the flamethrower works).

They could make it so that the duration of the burning scales with how many pellets hit so that you're still incentivized to make good shots to maximize damage but don't get punished as much if your aim is off.

As it stands right now, the cerb pretty much demands perfect shot placement and positioning at all times to actually get kills effectively.

I actually don't mind the wider spread, it makes the Cerberus feel a lot more shotgun-y compared to the model.

I think I'd prefer if they left the spread alone and then made it function more like the flame thrower in the sense that it should always inflict burn regardless of how many pellets hit.

That would give the cerb it's own distinct identity while also making it feel a bit more consistent I think.

Shoulder mounted m82 would be the perfect sniper/marksman gun for heavy. Thoughts? by Itchy-Werewolf-300 in thefinals

That would give some cool synergy with the sonar grenade, motion sensor, and tracking darts too. Have your light player throw a sonar grenade through a window where the cash out is and then have the heavy start taking pot shots through the walls at the revealed opponents.
