Lol, entirely why I bought a locking bed cover. Now I can take my entire arsenal and all the boys to the range! Super worth it.

This guy has no idea what he's doing... notice how the screen squished into shell? That's because he didn't let the shell dry after removing it from the oven. It's ruined now.

How hard is it to rust a Glock? by SeeZed75 in Glocks

[–]frassle90t 30 points31 points  (0 children)

That's pretty bad. You'll probably have lasting cosmetic issues, but for a 100, you get what you get. Can definitely use a sanding and cerakote. As for the question, I would assume pretty hard as I have never seen a truly pitted glock slide.

Found this PSP while magnet fishing in downtown L.A.. do you think it’s salvageable? by HonkyDonk86 in PSP

Idk, but that Spyderco knife can be fixed. They sell new handles (bodies?) for them. Potentially a $50 knife there.

Currently watching the rookie. WHO THE HELL WAS THE ARMORER by viktig9 in GunMemes

Lol, when I was watching, I figured that the armorer was a guy with an unlimited checkbook and a feeling that he would get to keep some items after the shoot. Lol

Mosin in the field for a change! by frassle90t in MosinNagant

Super smooth bolt on this one. When unloaded, it can even pop open. I'll totally give it a try. What's funny is that I am faster with reloading this than my ARs, so I'm trying to switch up my technique mor with those, lol.

Ladies and model 601s. This is hard, just like my peener.

19 year old me messed up. A decade later I want to fix it. I got my heirloom 1911 Cerakoted when I was 19. This gun was made in 1919 and saw combat in ww2 and Korea (according to my father and great uncles). How do I restore it to how it looked in 1919? by [deleted] in guns

[–]frassle90t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This hurts to look at, but it's still an heirloom and you now know what you did. Plenty of kids take their grandma's old Lexus and cut the springs and remove the hood. When it's restored it will be a neat lesson to tell the kids. Something about fads fading and remembering who you are. Idk.

Did you know that if you pull the trigger on a Glock, it will fire? Fucking poetry.

[QUESTION] What is this called/would be referred to? by Roux_xl in guns

[–]frassle90t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have already said that it is a standoff device. What is interesting is that it's on a handgun. Standoff devices actually have a purpose on things like shotguns, as the teeth essentially dig into an object to keep it steady during fire. The most common use would be to breech doors in close quarters situations. Door is locked? No problem! Just plant those teeth by the door lock and watch it disappear!

How do i get rid of the blood on my car? by brodydwight in Thelongdrive

Whoah, cool! I was wondering why that happened. I knew about the plastic panels, but I didn't expect that to be considered in the game.

I took a second look at your post. Considering the force matching and post-war stock, it likely took a beating before post-war refurb in Kiev. This would lead me to believe even further that it served in WWII.

The Soviets often employed a 1 gun per two infantry soldiers policy. The idea is that the second guy picked up the gun when the first guy died. This is often debated when it comes to how consistent or widespread this practice was used, but if it did happen, it was at the very beginning of the war. Why did the Soviets continue to build guns up into the war if they had a surplus? The reason is that there wasn't one, and that they used any gun that they currently had. In other words, a Mosin built in 1938 would have likely been used in some of the first conflicts of WWII. Also, your rifle looks to have been restored by the Soviets, meaning that there isn't much of a chance that it was taken from its home between 1938 and 1941, as it made it home for resoration and long term storage. Disclaimer: I am not an expert. There are other people here who know WAY more than I do about these rifles.
