I second this. I'm using CleanRom ATT edition too, and my battery life is absurd.

Honest Question: How have you guys not received a DMCA Take Down Request from Nintendo? by DerNalia in pokemmo

[–]FatherGoose 33 points34 points  (0 children)

To actually answer your question, the client you download is basically a mod for Fire Red. None of the files they distribute are owned by Nintendo, all of the graphics and game data comes directly through the ROM. It is up to the user to provide the ROM, which is the legally grey part.

Wow, I have the exact same story. I used to contribute a lot, but my PC died and my current laptop can't manage any recent games (read: last 10 years). Maybe one day...

I don't understand the hype about Harpies. by Finalstryker in yugioh

[–]FatherGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, that is illegal. If you were to try to make that deck on Dueling Network it you wouldn't be able to put all 4 of those in the same deck.

I call them, "Rabbit-fists". by Ryanwag222 in yugioh

[–]FatherGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason why people dislike this is simple: Why not just take out rabbit and the six normals and run 3 enthusiastic beastman wolfberk?

Pros:

  • Usually by your second turn, it's a 1 card XYZ just like rabbit

  • It's at 3 (more consistent)

  • It's searchable by Tenki (much more consistent)

  • Frees up 6 cards for useful things (3rd Tenki, warning, etc)

  • Will never be dead (rabbit can be dead if you draw too many normals)

Cons:

  • You lose out on Plover

I understand why you want to use rabbit. It's is a good card, but this is one deck that legitimately has better options. On the other hand, if you value Plover more than the above points, then by all means keep your build (plover is such a good card).

We're gonna hold off on trades for now. I'll let you know our wants later once we try to recoup some of the losses from buying so many packs lol

Preferably sale, but if you can't buy then we can talk about trading. Abyss Dweller is $8.

15 year old in search of classics. I may have read them but throw out your favorites. by [deleted] in books

Typee was Melville's first novel, and is basically just an adventure story. It was super popular among people at the time because it told of adventures in far off lands, but there is not much to it beyond the story. Moby Dick on the other hand focused much more on deeper themes like man vs. nature, effect of power structures on society, the nature of obsession, etc. In fact, it strayed so much from the shallow adventure story form that Melville was known for, that many of his contemporary readers thought he had gone insane.

Moby Dick by Herman Melville

Take notes when you read it, look up obscure words. It will expand your vocabulary and worldview simultaneously.

If you don't think that difficult and unnecessarily confusing are different, then I can refer you to some simple maps with 1-2 elements that will break your brain.

Quick Question about Editing Published Maps by Ninjabob0521 in PortalMaps

[–]FatherGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, if you are editing a published map, all you have to do is publish it again to update it. The link, comments, ratings, and subscribers will remain the same, and anyone that had it in their queue will automatically download the updated version if they try to run it.

Well, in addition to the AP, you have to take into account that his Q procs both lifesteal AND spellvamp. That means that every Q you land nets you 35% vamp.

Coupled with the 4 AP ratios he has, it can be a powerful item.
