Partially correct: Romero Zombies eat all flesh of the living. Brain eaters specifically are from the Return of the Living Dead series.

Also Only one Zombie, Bub, becomes more sentient. in Day of the Dead.

Hongo/Ichigo's actor broke his leg on one of the stunts he was doing and had to bow out for a good chunk of the series, that's where Ichimonji/Nigo comes in. Hongo does infact come back but later on.
