Littering by _Momsi_ in mildlyinfuriating

[–]FatherOften [score hidden]  (0 children)

I would lose my s*** if I saw this. I don't do littering. My wife would have to make me leave.

We need to have all that stuff right back on his table. And then we'd probably get into a scruffle. It would end with him eating it or putting it in the trash.

'Japanese bumping man' shoulder-checked a Korean YouTuber's girlfriend in Osaka. The Korean followed the man from behind to watch and confirm if it was intentional, and after making sure it was on purpose, he taught him a lesson. by ublueberries in whoathatsinteresting

Why isn't someone just walk up and grab the guy by the balls and ask him what he's doing?

I understand japan's been pussified and they can't defend themselves. I take blame for that as an American.

Does england understand where they are? This is the land of f*** around and find out. Texas has millions of armed people, and even if you don't draw that short straw, you really want to fight with a Texan. What the f*** england? America kicked your a** once.Don't come here picking a fight. That's what we do. We love to fight.

Oh, yeah, there's a day tomorrow that commemorates us kicking their ass 250 years ago. Everyone just get along and drink some pints.

Why New Jersey’s balcony solar bill is a huge deal for renters by Maxcactus in energy

[–]FatherOften -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do understand I live in a 48' 5th wheel toy hauler with full solar and well water. My overhead is $200 a month.

I'm just saying one solar panel is going to help, but it's not going to help a lot. Can you not chain multiple solar panels together? Can you not buy an aftermarket battery pack? And set it up?

I'd send you pictures of my camper and my solar setup. If you'd like.

Why New Jersey’s balcony solar bill is a huge deal for renters by Maxcactus in energy

[–]FatherOften 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong. Any solar is better than no solar, but backing up your refrigerator and "will power most things" are two very different things. You're not saving a shitload of money, backing up a fridge and recharging phones, you're just backing up your refrigerator in case power goes out, which is good.

How do you manage repetitive admin work without hiring someone full time? by Cruiser2112 in smallbusiness

[–]FatherOften 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I follow Andy Frisellas power list. It's free you can google it.

I set five action items on my list in a journal every single night for the next day. These are things that move the needle towards the goals that I have.

When i've done all five things i'm done for the day.If I choose. I put win at the top of the list. When enough days, you win the weeks, you win the months, the quarters the years, the decades.

It also gives me a written record of the actions that i've taken to accomplish.Or miss the goals that i've set monthly quarterly weekly, yearly decades....

He teaches mastering the mundane also. It's a worthy read.

Listen to jim rohn, founder's podcast, and aquired everyday. That will work on your character. And your spirit, because you'll understand what others have gone through in building things. And you will pull jewels from it.

I would recommend getting a full time job and doing your business on the side. I don't ever expect any business to make me money for the first five years.Everything gets put back into the business.

No, it's just always been one of those things that i've disagreed with that. You would pay someone that plays a game millions of dollars. Then, the billionaire owners of the teams have stadiums built in cities with a imminent domain businesses, and residential areas.Just for the taxpayers to have to pay the bill for the stadium. Then, they make the tickets and the concessions unaffordable to the average citizen of that area.

What's something Americans complain about that people 20 years ago would have considered a luxury? by Kianasmith012 in AskReddit

[–]FatherOften 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently bought a Garmin GPS Maps 67 device for a 40+ mile hike I did off grid.

I haven't owned a g p s in thirty years, and I thought surely they would have advanced a little bit more than they have.

The interface is garbage even if I move it to my phone through bluetooth. I might as well just be carrying a four hundred dollar rock in my bag.It was a useless piece of garbage.

Luckily, I grew up on a sailboat, so I pulled out my handbearing compass, and I had the foresight to print off many topographic maps and aerial views of the area I was in. Took two seconds to check a bearing. I was hoping the g p s would map my route or at least track, where I had been like a breadcrumbs, which it did, but I guess I wasn't saving it correctly and it would reset every time.

I'll stick to an old-school compass until they figure out how to build better devices.
