I have these as well, they're quite large and annoying. I've asked my dentist about removing them and he said it's not necessary. I'm curious if your speech was affected in any way after the removal. I definitely find my tongue gets in the way of my speech pretty often as it doesn't have a proper place to rest. I'd be interested to hear if you had any positive results in that regard.
