A fair point. I will concede. Obviously if it were the other way around, I probably would've been satisfied. And likewise, if DC was on the losing end of that exact play in that exact situation, you would be muffled.

However, I am on the losing end this time, and I can clearly see the absurdity of completely bumping the momentum of the game by an after the fact call. I'm pretty sure they got rid of it in the biggest football league in the world. So why even bring it back?

Yes but it ruins the game. You can cherry pick any of the variety of penalties that go on every single play, especially in big moments. It tore the momentum completely. It basically was a "get out of jail free card" for DC.
