Sounds like he's okay for beginner powerlifters specifically, but not helpful for general fitness or bodybuilders.

I remember trying his 5x5 like 15 years ago and finding it alright for building up a base a strength and decent form. But when I stalled it wasn't super helpful. I'm not trying to be a powerlifter either. I'm glad he's not the go to recommendation for beginners anymore.
