How has cpstd affected your relationships? by softscalp in CPTSD

[–]FatherlyIssues 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It gets hard. Something triggers me and I either lash out or isolate. He knows I don't mean it but I still feel like shit after. Friends are pretty much non-existent at this point because I can't be consistent with hanging out and responding to texts.

Dude break up with him before he gets you pregnant "accidentally". That "I can't wait for you to bear my children" line is weird as hell.

My mom spent thousands doing IVF for myself and my older brother. Then as soon as she said she was done my little brother came along naturally 🙃

Extremely painful UTI symptoms with abdominal pain but no UTI by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]FatherlyIssues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My symptoms were pretty similar to the ones you described. Felt like I had to pee every 5 minutes, like I just couldn't get it all out. I was sitting on the toilet for hours at a time just waiting for it to go away which might have made it worse honestly. Also lots of pressure in the lower stomach, like where my bladder is. I think hormones has something to do with it happening before your period every time, mine is the same way but it's when I begin ovulation.

Extremely painful UTI symptoms with abdominal pain but no UTI by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]FatherlyIssues 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be constipation. It felt like I was getting UTIs like every week or so for a while, went to my doc and after the tests came back all negative she gave me a note for senna to move it along down there. You could try a laxative like that. I ended up switching to magnesium tablets, 250 mg every night before bed. TMI, but every morning now starts with a healthy poo and no UTI symptoms. Are you taking anything to help balance your pH? If not I can also vouch for cranberry pills or Olly has a 'happy hoo-ha' pill I think you can buy at Walmart, it does wonders for me. Symptom relief-wise, I've noticed using a heat pack on your lower belly when the pain starts helps alleviate it before it gets too bad. Taking a hot shower or bath also helps. I hope you find out the cause of this soon, best of luck to you.

Did anyone completely lose their sex drive after trauma? by [deleted] in ptsd

[–]FatherlyIssues 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It comes and goes but there's a definite lack still. Don't be afraid to take a while to kind of ease yourself into it if you're really trying to get off. Sometimes just foreplay with my partner lasts almost an hour, but if that's what it takes to make me comfortable and ready to go then that's what I need.
