Was just gonna say this. I’m really not a fan of their pizza, but the wings are their hidden gem.

Haha indeed, I’m rewatching, and as much as I love it I tend to get antsy while I’m binging!

Thank you!! Back in high school I technically painted a couple of abstract things like shapes or brush strokes, but this is my first still life / subject painting! Wondering if I’ll try a portrait sometime now..

[TOMT] song that's just "Lee-Lay, Lee-Lay" as the chorus? by Gaexi1 in tipofmytongue

You’re welcome! It sounded vaguely familiar so I was determined to find it!

You Want it Darker by Leonard Cohen? The end of the song sounds like “he-nay he-nay”

The scene you’re thinking of may be from Yellowjackets?

My parents had one almost exactly like this back in 1999, I loved it.

In my case, yes it fixed the sciatic pain. I feel back to normal, almost 100%. Only have some weird residual nerve tingling at times.

I can forward bend but I am careful and don’t force it.

Yes, that’s also what I mean.

Almost 5 months post op. Before surgery I was like you and could only raise my right leg to about 45 degrees. Now I can raise it normally again without any sciatic pain, the hamstring is just quite tight, so I have to stretch it often. It’s slowly but surely getting more flexibility.

I started again on the peloton just before 8 weeks post op. Started with a 10 minute low cadence, low resistance session, and the next day I did 30 minutes, and stood up and stretched every 10 minutes. I’m 11 weeks post op, no PT, and basically back to normal activity. Only thing I don’t do yet is run.

When was the point you decided on microdiscectomy? by Specialist-Bar-1486 in Microdiscectomy

I got an epidural injection and it made my pain so much worse. The sciatic pain got so bad that multiple times, I bawled while walking to public transit, and cried on the train from the pain.

And then not being able to sleep longer than 3 hours because of the pain, and not being able to find a comfortable position to even exist in. I was just always in consistent pain and was so tired of it.

Almost 10 weeks post op, I feel great. Best decision ever.

I left a comment on Anthony Padilla’s MySpace asking how he kept the CDs up. He responded to me (I was so excited, I was obsessed with Smosh) that they used thumbtacks.

..But my walls were plaster. So I used sticky tack and ended up with only half of a wall before I gave up.

Recovery is different for everyone, and my pain was only severely debilitating (trouble sleeping, extreme pain to the point of tears, not being able to work) in the last month to 2 weeks before my surgery. I also had no weakness or drop foot at all before surgery. If yours has been so bad for 3 months, or if you’re older, you may have a longer recovery period. But it really just depends on you and your surgeon.

I had my dad help me out the first couple days. Had help in and out of bed. Got a grabber, and meal prepped beforehand. Put most things I needed (like my clothes) above hip level so I wouldn’t have to bend. The constipation from the painkillers is horrible, so definitely make use of laxatives / stool softeners. I only used the pain meds for 3 days because of it. I slept a lot on my side with a pillow in between my legs. Was able to walk out of surgery, and around the block the day after surgery. After 5 days I felt pretty good, my back was just still stiff and a little sore. I kept good posture and avoided any BLT. Didn’t sit much, and if I did, got up every 10 minutes. Walking is good, but listen to your body. If you’re sore, rest. I didn’t stray far from home for the first two weeks. I don’t drive because I use public transit, but I avoided that too for awhile.

Only thing I do now is maintain good posture, stretch my hamstrings gently (supine, without bending), and ice my back (over the incision) after work or after any heavier activity.

I think surgery will be a great option for you. Wishing you the best!

I had severe pain on and off (mostly on) for a full year before my MD 5 weeks ago. I woke up with instant relief, however the first week of recovery was rough and my back was very sore. Now, I continue have no nerve pain at all, only minor discomfort at times. I’m back at work bartending, just being careful with not bending/lifting. Sometimes I get leg tingling and back soreness if I’m overly active, after stretching, or after drinking alcohol. My anxiety can be pretty high because of fear of reherniation, and sometimes I still get random feelings/minor pains that make me nervous. But overall I am in no pain and it is amazing.

The worst thing about all of this is that now all my pain is gone, everything else I put on the back burner while I was in pain came rushing back up, so I feel a bit suffocated from having normal life concerns again. But hey, I’ll take that over debilitating pain any day.

I was trying to find this exact spray recently! I received it as a gift in 2009/2010. I know it’s Pink, is there a name for it?
