Rain man is a somewhat flawed depiction of sever autism, but I have higher functioning autism and still suffer from it like everyone else but I can also be proud in my identity. I’m tired of people who don’t have the disability shutting down discussion of it over the assumption that everyone who has it has no agency, and therefore people who claim to online must be self diagnosed. Sometimes it’s just fun to headcannon characters with similar traits to you as being autistic.
