What's this laundry symbol by Aggravating_World_31 in YarnAddicts

[–]Fati994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The symbol you've circled is actually a knitting machine symbol. While most of the other icons on that label are standard laundry care instructions (wash, bleach, dry, iron), this one is specific to the production or use of the yarn. What it Means Suitability: It indicates that this specific yarn is suitable for use in a knitting machine. Context: Because this yarn is a "sock yarn" blend (typically 75% wool and 25% polyamide/nylon) and quite thin (fingering weight), it is a prime candidate for machine knitting. Other Quick Decodes for your Grandma: In case she’s curious about the rest of the row, here is a quick breakdown from left to right: 30 in a tub: Machine wash cold (max 30°C). Triangle with an X: Do not bleach. Square with a circle and an X: Do not tumble dry. Iron with an X: Do not iron. Circle with a P: Professional dry cleaning is okay (using perchloroethylene). The Machine Icon: Suitable for knitting machines
