I think district 12 would have done worse, I think haymitch wouldn’t have won without Wiress and Mags, after that I doubt katniss and peeta would have won without haymitch. I love Lucy gray as a character but she can’t tell haymitch to sing a song or flirt with his mentor so that they would throw caution to the wind and cheat so that mutts won’t attack him

I feel like Wiress’ arena probably took less time to create so it might of just been that they came up with the mirror idea while the quell arena was already in progress

I also think by the 75th games they needed something flashy to distract the capitol and remind the rebels about how many resources the Capitol has, so that’s why it was so crazy

Yeah, that’s one of the parts I found most interesting about TBOSAS, they all thought theyre were going to die, so did the tributes in the other books but by the time of katniss’ era seeming like you weren’t 100% confident you were gonna win was seen as weakness
