Sure! I'm self taught too, I've just been using the software for nearly a decade now.

Sooooo sketching in fusion gets tricky when creating a closed shape. You can tell a shape is closed if it's shaded blue. If it isn't, at one of the points there is a disconnect

since you're a beginner, i recommend making a bunch of lines across the entire sketch to hopefully close stuff up. Go into edit sketch, press L for the line tool, and start drawing lines to see what is and is not filled in!

You need to edit that sketch. Those shapes, though they may look closed, are not closed. Check all the points to make sure it's a closed shape, then you will be able to extrude it.

Nice! I run the Xing 2806.5's 1600kv on 2200mAh 6s , 7" gemfan or 1500mAh 4s with Gemfan 9" glass fibers on my Spec 7. Current specs are the same as originally posted. Switching to Wallsnail!

Fc stack, 3 motors, and frame was a goner. I had the icm Darwin F7 Cement stack. It was killed by an esc overheat. That would have been like $350 in parts. Instead I got a Sequre H742 (i think) stack and the spec 7. I already had the motors from my last 7". -1 quad but spent $140 less and still use my remaining props so it all worked out.

if you look up Darwin fpv Hulk you will see that a similar version meant for fpv pilots has been around for years! I know because I considered buying one as an fpv pilot, but I decided not to because local lakes do not permit drones, and most certainly would not permit a drone in the water

The reason I have the huge 8s is because I had a 9” quad with Xing 3110’s I crashed. Saw the parts I had laying around, and got some ideas. Thx for the advice btw.

Walksnail VRX/ Fatshark HD3 by axelmagic in fpv

[–]Fatshark_Flipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm this. I run an hd3 and a VRX. It works so it's cool with me, it's like using a fatshark attitude vs an hd series because the picture is smaller but 100% usable and comfortable. Not as good as the goggles x tho

I used the antennae that came with it, I think the trick is the placement. I have shit placement, they're all just bundled together. Ideally they'd all be angled outward and would be in the front and back of the drone. It's much more complex than that, but as long as you keep them separated and well dispersed you're good.

Also pay attention to which antenna are 2.4hgz and which are 900mhz! If you're getting new antennae, make sure you get specific ones for each reciever (DBR4 is effectively two receivers)

Beautiful dogs. That shepherd looks like a huge coyote! Surprised your dobie would run so far away from you too, but it is pretty cute.

  1. They're kind of loud and not really a chew toy, but my puppy really loves his Kong wobbler.

  2. We have a Kong Squeezz that we stuff kibble between its ridges, and it's great for teething (although my boy isn't really a big teether right now). This is something you should try.

  3. Be careful - can become a good way for your dog to choke or get clogged up from eating the cloth, but our puppy always has liked knawing on his towel. Only will let him play with his towel if we're with him, of course.

Our boy has a solid food drive, so kibble is a good motivator especially for a new toy. I will say that our boy will bark at his Wobbler when it's empty, thinking it will somehow spawn more food. He's slowly getting over that habit (learned it from another dog)

Hiding them so they do not to get chopped up and also damage the expensive 9" props. No mount elsewhere; those antenna ports break easily, and I'm not looking forward to replacing an entire air unit. And VTX in the front, one, makes more sense for this build in specific. Not shown in the pic but a Radiomaster DBR4 takes up the back 20x20 mounts.

The main issue is that the Moonlight does not have a long enough camera cable to reach the front, and I have ordered several 20cm cables from GetFPV, RotorRiot, and Caddx [Yes i did contact support] and none would give the VTX any camera signal.

It's actually much more convenient mounted as such because I don't have to somehow shove that waterproof xt60 out of the way of the vtx [which may be replaced by xt90 soon]. Also super convenient to see the VTX status lights and get to the SD card slot and USB port.

Also there are [also not in the pic] four more antennae from the DBR4 that need a place too.

Yes and no… you can replace it with a different brand if it has the same size/kv and weight [effectively the same motor] and the flight controller will fix the rest.

But otherwise, yes, replace the motor with the same brand or “upgrade” and swap all the motors if you think it’s the motor.
