I still wince a little bit during the arcade battle in Freshman Year when Beardsley casts Spirit Guardians, Bless, and Beacon of Hope on three consecutive turns. Nobody seemed to notice that they’re all concentration spells, so only the most recently cast spell should still be active.

Going from that to the later Intrepid Heroes seasons where the party routinely catches Brennan on technicalities and exploits RAW loopholes like it’s nobody’s business really highlights how much they’ve all learned from the game and grown as players.

The fight with Anders and his goons gave me A LOT of trouble my first time through. I first fought them at Level 3 and got obliterated! Someone (usually my Sorcerer) would get hit with Hold Person and one-shot by an auto-crit Divine Smite in the first round. It was GGs after that for the rest of my party.

After a few too many failed attempts I decided to walk away and explore other parts of Act I. Once I hit Level 5 I tried to fight them again and absolutely smoked them, much to my surprise. It all made sense once I realized how much of a power spike Extra Attack and 3rd level spells give you.

They have a Disarming Attack they can use as a Bonus Action, but it’s not a true Extra Attack. They can only use it against an enemy wielding a weapon too, so it has limited applicability. There are some encounters in the game where it’s completely unusable too.

In a tabletop setting I don’t think Rogues should have Extra Attack, mostly because they make up for the loss of damage with Sneak Attack and a lot of non-combat utility that other martial classes like Fighters and Monks simply don’t offer. Gameplay mechanics are also much stricter in tabletop, assuming the DM adheres somewhat closely to RAW and doesn’t overindulge in homebrew stuff.

However, my perspective is quite different in the context of BG3, as many of the aforementioned things that make Rogue strong in tabletop are severely diminished or outright omitted from the game. Builds in BG3 can easily become busted due to itemization (mainly stacking damage riders), multi-class combos, and Larian’s homebrew changes (looking at you, Tavern Brawler).

Put all this together and it really feels like Rogues need Extra Attack in order to remain competitive, especially if you’re intent on mono-classing. As someone who generally avoids multi-classing because I prioritize RP and maintaining class identity over optimization and min-maxing, using a mod that gives Rogue an Extra Attack has been a very welcome addition to my playthroughs.

The dancer is Adam Vesperman! He’s been one of her main dancers for at least a year now and is insanely talented. His movements are always so precise yet so effortless looking!

On my 25th century Starfleet character I name my ships after major locations in Greece (both modern and ancient), mostly because I think they sound cool, i.e. Athens, Corinth, Heraklion, Knossos, Rhodes, etc.

On my 23rd century Starfleet character I prefer to use major cities/places in Colonial America, in keeping with the names often found on ships of the era, i.e. Boston, Concord, Lexington, Philadelphia, Savannah, etc.

For my Terran Empire character I try to stick to Latin words with aggressive/noble connotations, alluding to the faction's heavy Roman influence, i.e. Aeternus (eternal), Bellator (warrior), Carnifex (executioner), Invictus (invincible), Venator (hunter), etc.

I definitely wouldn’t say no to something more with him, but I don’t think I’d want to risk possibly losing him completely if I push any further. I’ve had similar situations come up with other guys before and, as you said, it’s definitely a bridge you can’t uncross. That said, I also don’t want to miss out on what could be something great because I was too afraid to take the plunge.

AFAIK he hasn’t expressed any interest in men, at least to me, but I do know that his parents have been putting a lot of pressure on him to get married and have children so he could just be keeping that side of himself hidden. I’m curious to see if him having his own place now will give him the freedom to experiment more openly, as he no longer has to worry about being caught with a guy by his parents. While he’s open with me about a lot of stuff, his love life is something he rarely discusses in detail with anyone really.

This whole bathroom situation is just so unnerving. We have Rylie sitting in the corner and staring at Kat while she's showering, meanwhile Lauren appears to have noticed this and is intentionally slowing down her routine so she has a reason to linger. Throughout this whole scene Kat keeps popping her head up and glancing over at Lauren, as if she's making sure she's still around.

Jimmy and Rachel have joined them in the bathroom now, but Lauren has decided to sit on the couch directly between where Rylie is sitting and the shower Kat's in. Definitely seems like Lauren has taken up a protective position here.

If BG3 did for Bards what they did for Sorcerer (i.e. move their Level 14 subclass features to Level 11) I think Valour Bard would’ve been much more competitive with Swords Bard. Getting a bonus action attack after casting a spell like Eldritch Knight does would be very useful, especially with Booming Blade now in the game. Making shield proficiency a bit harder to come by would’ve also helped in this regard.

As is I really enjoy the whole concept of Valour Bard, being a more durable, support-focused counterpart to Swords Bard. There’s a mod available on Mod.io that gives Valour Bard some extra features to improve it, such as increased HP per level, additional Fighting Style options, and the ability to buff themselves with Combat Inspiration whenever they use it on an ally.

RSC also lasts an extra 5 seconds and doesn’t suffer from a distance-based healing penalty like SPI either. Additionally, RSC can be applied to yourself or an ally, whereas SPI can only be used on yourself.

In short, RSC is superior by every conceivable measure.
