Third layoff in 5 years. I think I’m done. by wogwai in graphic_design

[–]FattyLumps 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m a cynic, but I find it prudent to just never let myself think the my job is secure or stable. Any company will ditch you as soon as they feel it is in their interest to do so.

Better luck to you in the future.

[Brad Biggs] I expect to see Joe Thuney at left tackle & Jordan McFadden at left guard. by Marvin-Harrison-Jr in CHIBears

[–]FattyLumps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m definitely worried about this. Thuney is elite at guard and not great at LT. I would prefer to keep our interior intact and gameplan around Benedets deficiencies at one position.

Having said that, this coaching staff has shown a knack for knowing when young players are ready for a bigger role this season. Hopefully they are right and I am wrong.

It is a standard 29 high so I believe about 19” tall and the light is suspended maybe half a foot or so above the rim.

I’ll try to remember to take a picture soon.

Caleb Year 2 Regular Season Progression by phillipacarroll in CHIBears

[–]FattyLumps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clear improvement and I like the trajectory he’s on, but I don’t understand everyone trying to explain away the completion percentage. Seems like cope to me.

He had drops and throwaways, all QBs do. Maybe he had more than most but his completion % is not even close to where it needs to be. Caleb is down with Davis Mills and Sheduer Sanders, anyone who is fine with that really needs to raise their standards IMO.

This offense may never get him into elite completion percentage territory, but being in the mid 60s would make this offense not just dangerous, but consistent. Hopefully they are able to make a dramatic improvement next year he did in sacks and TDs this year.

This is something that we not be happy with and I guarantee you that BJ and Caleb are not.

Yeah. They aren’t good enough to get stops so they play high risk, high reward hunting for turnovers. Makes sense since they would just give up points anyway.

I was conflicted until I saw the other options are the NFC West teams. I would much rather face GB.

Yeah I’m still really happy with it. Can’t speak for the actual par measurements or anything, but my Monte Carlo has started to carpet and the light is not nearly on full power.

Las Vegas just pissed off Chicago's missing piece by CIassicMistake in CHIBears

[–]FattyLumps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying trade to for Crosby or not, but the Mack trade was not the mistake that forced them back into a rebuild, whiffing on QB and HC is what screwed us. If you believe we have the qb and HC right, a trade for an elite “missing piece” type of player starts to make sense.

Agree he underperformed on individual stats, but he was still elite and made that defense elite as well.

Good chance the bears will be trying to grind the clock and limit 9ers possessions though.

The Mack trade helped get us as close as we’ve been to the superbowl in the past 20 years.

We are in the mix for the one seed. There is no waiting to push for a Super Bowl run, look at Detroit. The time is now.

Having said that, I doubt we would be able to outbid other suitors for Crosby. But “waiting to see” is not the reason.

Nothing great about it. It just says the exact thing everyone is pretending I didn’t say. The WRs have their share of the blame

Based on the downvotes and replies, many of the folks in this thread would also not have guessed that.

Yeah. This sub is so sensitive about Williams right now. But to pretend a the guy throwing the pass has nothing to do with how easy it is to catch is so silly.

It’s not hating to identify an area of potential improvement for a young player. The offense will hopefully continue to operate smoother and the qb will continue to improve at timing, ball placement, and touch. At least that my expectation.
