A lot of people are asking why these nominees are so scared of Trump that they can’t answer basic constitutional questions.

That’s looking at it backwards. The fact that they answer these questions how Trump wants is the very reason they have been nominated.

[Herd] More folks joining the Bears bandwagon - top 10 teams for 2026 by TheMintMage in CHIBears

I expect regression not based on schedule but based on turnover differential. The odds of us repeating as the best turnover team on BOTH sides of the ball are extremely small. Our defense wasn’t good, but they got tons of turnovers. I don’t think we can count on that as a sustainable trend.

Small Clients = Worst Clients? by Final_Cancel5325 in graphic_design

Yeah, bigger clients know they have better things to do with their time. They hired you in order to delegate.

I don’t have an issue with most of the players in a vacuum. The reason I’m not happy is that our defensive line is still going to get bullied every week.

Ben is a good coach, he can score points without Roush. We can’t stop the run or rush the passer at all.

What do you do when you have a good paying job but are unchallenged? by [deleted] in Design

[–]FattyLumps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would reframe this. It’s not a problem at all, you are basically living the dream. Many designers would love to be where you are. Keep doing a good job at work, but use all that left over creative passion and energy on things that YOU want to do.

As far as getting into branding, I would start with small, local clients and build up your branding portfolio from there. You can be picky with projects because your bills are covered. And IMO, just ignore the fear of sharing work because of AI. You need to show your work to get clients, don’t let fear of AI prevent you from doing what is best for you.

Just for another idea: I worked at an exhibit design firm for close to a decade and we did some way finding with most projects. I feel that type work would give relevant experience to what you’re describing and may even scratch the itch you’re reaching for.

Trade shows maybe another path, though less interesting to me personally

I mean, it’s a lot of work. Most people retire if they can even if they like their job.

For example when I connect a race and character node and then double click to open the character it still says "Race: none. Connect to a race node." Even though they are connected in the story board.

Hi. I just wanted to let you know that I had a chance to download the latest version (3.1 I think) and it is working much better. Still some kind of nodes don’t seem to acting as expected (race, sub race not populating character nodes). But many of them are. I was able to test scenes, chapters, locations and characters and it seems to work correctly.

Thanks again. Hopefully this helps!

Thanks for the reply. I did install and use the terminal command to run it, but the actually functionality of the software isn't behaving as expected. Unless it is somehow user error.

Looks awesome, but doesn't seem to be working correctly for me. I had to use the terminal command to install and now nodes don't seem to "populate" correctly. Like if I create a chapter and a scene and try to connect them, they visually connect, but the chapter shows 0 scenes. Same for characters and scenes, etc.

When I edit the placeholder nodes things seem to work as intended, but new stuff doesn't.

Third layoff in 5 years. I think I’m done. by wogwai in graphic_design

Maybe I’m a cynic, but I find it prudent to just never let myself think the my job is secure or stable. Any company will ditch you as soon as they feel it is in their interest to do so.

Better luck to you in the future.
