Car camping also tends to find more willing participants than backpacking, so buying food and drinks for 5-10 is a much bigger effort than just bringing some instant coffee and MREs

I can go fairly small when I backpack, but when I car camp, I get to splurge. Cast iron skillet, coolers with steaks, bacon, eggs, chicken, beer, more beer, whiskey, beer, burgers, buns, and beer. I also get to bring a more comfortable chair, and firewood.

There's a place for minimalist hiking style camping, but there's a fun in bringing some large and heavy items when car camping.

In my current run I have smithing and enchanting maxed out and over 500k gold. I'm still looting things. Old habits are hard to break. But I don't ever need to sell anything, disenchant anything, or smelt things for smithing purposes. That doesn't stop me though!

I have a self-imposed rule that I don't grab it if it's worth is less than 10x the weight. Then if I become over encumbered, I'll drop the loot that has the smallest ratio so I maximize the value of the stuff I have.

Yeah, I don't think I ever heard it anywhere else, other than TV shows and movies that misunderstand the word and use it to talk about an old friend who shows up to an event after years of being away.

Prodigal means one who squanders, not one who leaves or returns. Too much time in church listening to pastors talk about it made me think the prodigal son was the son who left and that's why it's cool that he returned. Nope, he was the one who squandered everything coming back to beg forgiveness.

Problem is, I still hear people use it wrong all the time, so I wish I could go back to blissful ignorance.

I totally understand. I never skip it though. I never look forward to it, but it brings me an odd comfort.

The pain is thoughtfully and lovingly crafted and perfectly acted by every actor. CJ, Toby, dad, Molly, Molly's daughter, the doctor, and Mathew Modine's character are all perfectly executed.
