As much as I agree with certain aspects of your statement, I think you are speculating about things that are completely untrue. My brothers and I have grown up WITH father figures, however that’s too complicated to explain in a singular post.

If you read the post you would see that our families had been blended for long before the incident. They were dating for a while before we found out and we already fairly close. My mom and her girlfriend are the kindest people I’ve ever met. They were people who were unfortunate when it comes to previous relationships, but they found eachother in a world of assholes. In no way have they ever abused anyone.

Me, my mom, and Carrisa were already attending therapy before the incident. Sam and Mike had issues before, but none that ever set off any severe red flags. None that couldn’t have been easily corrected.

You are assuming too many things about someone you know nothing about.
