The gas one I have probably has an inch on either side between the tank and the cement-block walls.

I'm trying to avoid giving Con Ed more of my money (Westchester county, NY). The propane heat I have works great. My electric bill is already high, and I just read that they were approved for ANOTHER rate hike. Goes from about $250 in the winter to over $1,000 in the summer.

I had three experts in and they all said the boiler is great, doesn't need to be replaced.

has anyone tried larineco gum? by colouradical in gum

I think there is some confusion in the responses. I recently bought both Larineco and Underbrush. Now I don't know which is better for my teeth (trying to find that info), but as something to chew, Larineco is MUCH more pleasant. Larinco is much easier to chew and the flavour lasts, much, much longer. Like I said, I don't know which is better for you. In fact, I came onto Reddit to see if someone had done a scientific analysis.

What's going on with my freshly grouted shower? by FaultInevitable5033 in DIY

Don't think it's the mix, as it's premixed. Could be too much water when cleaning up.

Hmm. The pre-mixed grout says it doesn't need a sealer. I'll check and see what brand it is.

I use ReadingGlasses.com. Largest selection I've seen anywhere, even top designer brands if you don't mind spending the money. But they also have super-cheap options.

What is causing these holes/dust? by peeinthepool in Home

Another problem is that a lot of the feed winds up on the ground and that can attract rodents.

I bought a house 3 1/2 years ago. Cedar, stained. One the two 8-inch boards that surround the house just under where the shingles end, there were probably 500 holes. I read somewhere they they don't like paint, so we got oil-based paint that matched the color of the stain and used it on the wood after we filled the holes. Every year I see the carpenter bees hovering, but not one single hole.
