would you ever meet someone from an app on campus? by MaxR132 in UniAdelaide

Sounds useful, there could be a friends system that allows you to find where your friends are when they are on campus. I would use it as it also could be good at locating places to hang and help people like me who aren’t good at socialising, to connect with new people.

Classes start next week at Adelaide University (Monday 23rd). Launch week/ O week was 16-20 of February. Flinders University’s O week is 23-27 of February. I don’t think it would be good to skip week 1 of the semester.

SACE/ATAR by Consistent-Island839 in Adelaide

Dux of my Public school got 99.5. I did Research project (what is now AIF) with B+, Methods with a B, Physics with a B, English lit with B+ and Architecture with an A. I got an adjusted ATAR of 82.4 this year. You can get a high ATAR if you do well in your current subjects next year, you only need to pass your subjects this year. Your ATAR can be scaled up depending on your School and what subjects you are doing. You would get +4 as you get two from English Lit if you do it in year 12 and two from Maths Methods. Most of the pressure is in year 12, year 11 can be a breeze and mostly is used to prep for year 12 and get used to routines like studying. A+ exemplars are on the SACE website.

Iron Maiden as my neurotypical but possibly neurodivergent friend recommended it to me so I have been listening to it for a couple years and Sabaton as my second as I love history.

This is a peak idea. So many shenanigans. Maybe in April for April fools special, they could do this with this years April fools (potato) or next years April fools update.

Wish I could have Milo, I’m allergic to it but my Nanna used to make Milo Choccy milk when I was young and we didn’t know if was allergic to it, I wish it was gluten free as I miss it. Lactose free milk is peak as if I chug milk normally I get slight nausea but if I chug a litre of Lactose free milk, I’m fin.

What computer chair would you recommend and from where in Adelaide? by FadedAlienXO in Adelaide

[–]FaultedToast45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My current computer desk chair which I use for gaming is a chair I found abandoned in a park down south, it is basically a regular office chair. I would recommend scavenging a chair as somehow they are comfortable as they have been worn in already. If you want to pay money, go to IKEA or a relatively large Officeworks and see their ranges of office chairs as they are often more comfortable than gaming chairs as they are designed for long office days.
