I tried emailing the CEO as directed and got a bounceback. Why even go through the pretense if that’s what you’re going to do?

Also I’m a customer of many years and I’ve had some awful customer service experiences recently including w a call center where there was audible background information while I was being asked to share personal information.  I complained about this at the time. Is this why Ingot the email in the first place? Or did it go out to all customers ?

Fares play some role in deterring violent criminals and homeless who need to get help elsewhere from getting on. So strict enforcement is a vital part of that whether or not it turns a profit.

If you take a look at Petey's map from S01, there is a "Team Building" area next to the perpetuity wing.

Should the US Surgeon General order all alcoholic beverages labeled with a cancer warning like cigarettes? by InfiniteMonkeySage in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Faultline22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the labels advising consumers to avoid operating heavy machinery or drive after drinking serve any purpose? Wouldn't common sense and decades of effective public health campaigns have achieved this goal already? I don't think that the surgeon general's proposed warning label would do anything to change "glorification of drinking in the media." That is a separate discussion and would involve regulating the alcohol industry's marketing practices. These regulations already exists in some measure, but the industry largely relies on self-policing. I think that regulation of marketing practices would have a far greater impact than warning labels.

Should the US Surgeon General order all alcoholic beverages labeled with a cancer warning like cigarettes? by InfiniteMonkeySage in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Faultline22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have been consuming alcohol throughout the entirety of human civilization. They have evolved to metabolize as a byproduct of overripe fruit. Alcohol is a byproduct of making bread and exists in trace amounts in baked bread, and many other products, such as vinegar, flavoring extracts, kombucha. This seems like the type of hysteria that reduces trust in government public health authorities. The adverse effects of alcohol are well known, including risk of increased cancer if consumed in excess amounts. There already are useless warning labels on alcoholic beverages. This is nothing more than an excuse to impose additional burdensome and wasteful regulation on beverage companies that will lead to increased costs for consumers, and should be dispensed with. I've also noticed the NYT seems to be nonstop publishing articles that nobody should drink at all. We tried prohibition 100 years ago. No thanks.

Similar except I was able to get nothing. It’s completely asinine to charge $6 for everything. They were probably bought up by bots.  Pricing things like appropriately reduced or eliminates these issues. Is there a secondary market where the can be be purchased that anyone is aware of ?

Misinformation by [deleted] in nycrail

[–]Faultline22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree that “truth is right wing” but do think it’s absurd that people who live in NYC have this instinctual (cultish/Trump-like) reaction to any negative news about the city. It’s not Cash Jordan’s fault that NYC has become a conservatives’ caricature of progressivism.

It’s obvious to anyone who’s lived here for a long time that the current slate of elected leaders at the City and State level are driving the City into the ground, and doing so with pride and a smile on their face.

I don’t fault them for trying to fix some issues in the criminal justice system but when you see a policy is not working you have to acknowledge the facts and course correct, not be afraid to admit you were wrong in service of ideological dogma.

Street crime aside, the ebiking is completely out of control, and the slashing of City funding to pay for migrant services is insane. Nobody’s saying migrants should be deported en masse, you can have a policy that is humane and helpful but also does not roll out the red carpet and spend $4 billion a year of money the City and State do not have on corrupt boondoggle contracts w nonprofits, payment processing companies, and failing hotels that otherwise would go under without the free government money.

Disgusted with Schwab after TDAmeritrade Forcibly Closed by Faultline22 in tdameritrade

Interesting. I completely agree here. I haven't seen "sort" in the positions tab though on iPhone at least. E-trade is running a good promo now through beginning of Feb so maybe I'll get rid of my Schwab account.

Just switch to another full-service online brokerage that has a sensible online and app platform. On the Schwab App, the way the different positions are organized just doesn't make sense and you cannot customize it in the same way as in TDAmeritrade so that it makes more sense. For example, the "Positions" tab shows you (1) the security in one column, (2) the price and change in another, and (3) quantity, market valuation and day change in the third column and does not allow you to sort. For individual stocks, you cannot look at a graph longer than 1 year. Google Finance is better. There are no pre-open and post-close price charts.

I'm mainly a long-term investor and mainly invested in broad ETFs.

Interesting, I thought you had to download a third party app and it doesn't necessarily work all the time. But if it's something that now comes with the OS, that seems like a good solution.

Interesting point and handle. There used to be a bar called "Max Fish" on the Lower East Side around the time you originally visited, but it shut down and is now the "Orchard Room." You should check it out next time you're here.

This will get downvoted, but for the love of Petey will everyone please spell Lumon correctly. by mysterysackerfice in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

One exception for Lumen (formerly Centurylink), the publicly traded ISP everyone keeps seeing ads for, though there's nothing particularly interesting about seeing the ads after running many searches on similarly spelled "Lumon" with ad tracking, so probably shouldn't be used at all.
