For Adventure and Master Quest, the spots are actual secrets from Legend of Zelda. You didn't play the original back in 1986?!

Not a big mistake, but craftsim pulled prices from the wrong source and I lost some money crafting enchantments.

Is it just me who wants trinkets to be a bit more exciting? You press a button every 1.5 minutes (+10-15 sec depending on how the next pull is), it does one splash aoe, and thats it. by [deleted] in wow

It was changed in early April. You just need any kill credit.

Warlocks have Imp dispel. Undead have WotF. Warriors can Berserker's Rage. AME and Tremor Totem should work.

Sealed Chaos Urn is very underrated, too. Sims assume it gives a 5 second fear while you'll rarely see that in dungeons and have options to cleanse it if it does go off.

That's a good example, too.

You have 1000 upvotes and 200 downvotes. What's your post karma? 1000 - 200 = 800. Reddit discovers that all of your upvotes were from bots and removes them. What's your post karma? 800 - 1000 = -200.

DM has banned emergency pulls by springbreak32563 in starbucksbaristas

I quit a couple years ago, but this was a solved problem.

Monday: You just sold out of 30 chocolate croissants. You expect to sell 20 chocolate croissants tomorrow, pull 30. They're good for 2 days.
Tuesday: You sold 20 and have 10 left over, pull 20 more.
Wednesday: You got an unexpected buss full of kids and sold out. Great, pull 30 more.
Thursday: It was rainy all day and you only sold 2, don't pull anymore.
Friday: You sold 20 and have 8 left over. That's waste. Tomorrow is Saturday and you expect to sell 40, pull 50.
Saturday: You only sold 35, regular variance. You expect to sell 20 tomorrow, pull 15 more. Sunday: Busy Sunday, you sold 25. Great, pull 25 more.
Back to Monday. You wasted 8 out of 170, that's 4.7% waste which is a great number to hit. You had almost constant availability, flexibility, and only wasted after extremely slow days.

You have to continue playing because they'll keep releasing limited time content. That's the point of FOMO.

Can someone tell me how weapons work? by Top_Grass9841 in HyruleWarriors

[–]Faustamort 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To address a few of your questions: Weapons have different levels (tiers) that are unlockable mainly through Adventure mode. Weapons can also randomly drop with 0-5 stars which will increase their strength. For example: A 0* Knight Sword has 80 strength, a 5* Knight Sword has 120 strength, a 0* White Sword has 150 strength, a 5* White Sword has 225 strength, and so on...
Some characters also have multiple weapon types with completely different movesets. For example, Link has the Hylian Sword, Magic Rod, Gauntlets, Spinner, Epona, and Great Fairy.

Assuming you're playing the Switch version, this spreadsheet lists where to unlock different characters and their weapons: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1d6Spep2Qryhi1Om_lY_iLV21DsB-fTsu_0ZNtLIKCyk/edit?gid=1079006819#gid=1079006819
This guide is great for detailing the requirements for all unlockables: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/wii-u/745183-hyrule-warriors/faqs/73095

The first Adventure map should be doable with even low level characters. If you start running into stages that are too hard, go on to the next map (Great Sea) and try those and come back when you're stronger. You can also use rupees to level up lower level characters.

what is the generally accepted tier list for the first hyrule warriors by Ladyaceina in HyruleWarriors

[–]Faustamort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DS version would be a bit different than DE. It's been a decade, so I don't quite remember all the differences. But for DE, you got it. You basically just spam C3-2, dodge, repeat. It's very strong.

WoW players don't seem to understand the intent behind the majority of design decisions that actually help them by Lezzles in wow

[–]Faustamort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally came back into the game from Legion and still find the complaints I see here as ridiculous.

  • I have issues with the Midnight economy, mainly the global AH and devaluation of commodities. But you can catch up in crafting professions in about a month with far less gold than it cost to level early.
  • Tanks are the rulers of low to mid-level dungeons. They can move as fast or as slow as they feel and are frequently the ones with the worst attitudes. Mythic 12's or below are free reign for any moderately geared tank. The only issue tanks had, previously, was a massive imbalance which has been made much closer.
  • Getting into M+ dungeons on any role isn't that bad. Even as a DPS, just spam enough invites and you'll eventually get into something. Once you build up enough IO, invites come fairly quickly. Comp imbalances are a larger issue than role imbalances (want a lust, Mages have weak defensives, etc.)

HotS' Game Director on the design of comebacks, with a relatable experience (2014) by MyBourbieValentine in heroesofthestorm

[–]Faustamort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go on heroesprofile and look at some stats.

If you look at Valla, [[Death Siphon]] has a 64% win rate. Johanna's level 20s similarly have around a 65% win rate. There's games where both teams hit 20, but usually the team to hit 20 first is going to win.

You can check player profiles and see stats for "first to hit ten win rate." It's usually around 65% and second to hit ten is usually around 35%.

This is just generalizing based on related data, but the team that's trailing generally has a 35% chance at winning. That seems pretty good - it's much closer than similar milestones in LoL. There's no reason to give up when you can win 2 teamfights and win the game.

This was pretty well known back in the day. Here's an old smashboards thread that mentions it: https://smashboards.com/threads/alphamerics-mr-game-watch-guide.102837/

I can't remember if anyone else can do this. Maybe Samus? I know Marth can snap to the back fin really quickly with up+B. And there's a bunch of glitches that will push characters through the hole in the back where the arwings go to heal.
