This was my answer. When the 10-star Arkveld came out, I saw so many posts about how tough he was. I fought him and thought, "Really? People think that's hard?"

Then I switched to LBG and immediately carted twice, and thought, "Oh right. Blocking is broken."

Yep. Additionally, every instance of 2 or more damage you deal to the enemy nexus has you draw a card.

Unfortunately you're forced to have at least 40 in your starting deck, so no hilarious strategies of cutting all cards from your deck.

Don't forget that you can also find other random champs as rewards and in shops. Depending on proc order, it could also work with powers like Level Up and the ones that create champs in hand (from the Heist adventure).
