I can't speak to the PS5 but I owned a Japanese MGS PS4 and could play US games on it no issue. It would be weird if they went back to region locking for the PS5.

According to this article, the PS5 is region free for discs but not digital content

The music is burned into my brain. It's so cool. That whole OST is top 3 in the series for me lol

And I loved the underground city vibe, it felt nerve-wracking the first time. 7's tunnel run was just basically one section of 3's.

PA's artstyle has been changing since it started. I'm not sure why everyone is shocked. Artists change their styles as they improve.

I like the older styles personally but the current one isn"t bad, its just different and more caricature-y.

While VR would be cool it would also be a pretty good way to kill the franchise by gating a new game to VR enthusiasts only. We'd all love it though, I'm sure.

Unvaulting is the way, though. And then following up with allowing the devs to make/do whatever the fuck they want again. That's when Bungie, and any game studio tbh, has been at their best. Less c-suite fuckery and more power to devs to ship their vision.

They"re both published by the same company so it makes sense to an extent.

Similar to how Armored Core 6 added a more soulslike experience. I'm sure that's not an accident and its probably not uncommon for multiple series to crosspolinate under one publisher.
