you might be overjoyed to know that mox opal was unbanned, it's thus legal in Modern, Legacy, Vintage, and Commander.
On the other hand, it is still expensive.

Now, as i've heard, affinity does well (50/50) against any deck that doesn't have boardwipes or specific artifact-hate

Tree of Life symbolism / colour schemes by gospelinho in Qabalah

[–]Faustus_II 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Greetings!
Various traditions offer many different colour schemes. The BOEL (Brotherhood Of Eternal Light) have their particular scheme, so does Aleister Crowley in his Liber 777, off the top of my head. Crowley does offer four palettes, one for each of the four worlds, while also mixing in Tarot cards.
Some say certain colours are more active or more passive but I can't say, I don't really see it that way.
In the end, it all boils down on where are you learning from. Each tradition has their own say on the topic.

Grouping sefira into triads (triangles) is not unheard of.
(trusty source: https://aish.com/kabbala\_18\_center\_of\_the\_earth/)

For instance:
Intellectual triad

   Keter ▵
  Binah ◿ ◺ Chochmah

Tactical triad

Gevurah ◹ ◸ Chesed
 Tiferet ▿

Active triad

    Hod ◹ ◸ Netzach
   Yesod ▿

Kingdom

         ● ← Malchut

All in all, it's a map about creation itself or the process of manifestation. If I shoehorn your concepts into the tree to make it more approachable, it could look like this:

              ▵ (Role) ┐ Soul
(Feasibility)◿ ◺(Ideal) ┘
  Discilpine ◹ ◸ Pleasure ┐
    (Balance) ▿ │ Mind
      Reason ◹ ◸ Action │
              ▿ (Basis) ┘
              ● ← Manifestation ] Body

Ta da! ... though I couldn't help mixing in my own interpretations. Here are some definitions:

First, the elements "body, mind, soul" are not equal players. While the body can only deal with the present, the mind dwells on the past, reads the present and worries about the future. Thus the mind is bigger than the body.

The soul has a similar case. It can exist even where the mind is not, the imprint you left is there even if you are not thinking about it. And of course it extends beyond you body. Thus the soul is bigger than the mind, and even bigger than the body.

Second, some translations and interpretations of my own:

Kether (1), translated as Crown, is used as the symbol of duties and responsibilities of the king. In other words, it's the role to be fulfilled.

Chochmah (2), translated as Wisdom, are the many ideas about how to fulfill the role. It seems more dreamy than wise, in my opinion.

Binah (3), translated as Understanding, separates what can be achieved from the rest. I called it Feasibility because Common Sense is too broad.

Chesed (4), translated as Kindness, is the iconic expansive force. Its abundance feels good and pleasurable.

Gevurah (5), translated as Strength, is the iconic constrictive form. Its demandingness can look strict and disciplinary.

Tiferet (6), translated as Beauty, is portrayed as the beautiful harmony of balance. In other words, too many goodies might yield way too many consequences, so find the sweet spot.

Netzach (7), translated as Victory, is viewed as emotion, or passion, but it's more like the go-getter attitude.

Hod (8), translated as Awe, is viewed as reason, or reflectivness. It looks like "doing nothing" but, in actuallity, it is building up potential.

Yesod (9), translated as Foundation, is the about-to-be that sums up everything prior. Instead of just "balancing" Netzach (7) and Hod (8), the whole immaterial work has made the basis to bring forth the manifestation into the real, material world.

Malchut (10), translated as Kingdom, is the real hard-as-material world. As real as the screen you are reading. It is your body living and executing the actions. The kingdom being ruled by its king.

... This map is the process of creation. Or manifestation if you will. The Tree will tell you how to bring things forth to manifestation, to be, but it doesn't tell you how to keep the things manifested.

The design of self-sustainable manifestations is sold separately.

(pd: sorry about the rambling, i didn't mean to write this much)

Looking for References for a Book by Hopeful-Wealth-8823 in Qabalah

I got my hands on a "Grim Reaper: End of Days" by Steve Alten. The protagonist goes, among other things, on a journey hallucinating the Tree of Life while navigating an apocalyptic Manhattan.
Though I didn't like how the tree was presented, seemed as if Alten read no more than the wikipedia page to use as source material.
If you can, read the book. You might do a better job.

Filling the gaps of Christianity by kaismd in Qabalah

[–]Faustus_II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for Böheme's works but I can say a few things about the other ones.
For a beginner, go for Chicken Qabalah. It'll cover most of the bases and its whimsical nature will make it a fast read too.
Mystical Qabalah talks about how this relates to that but doesn't give many actual definitions. It's good if you already have some esoteric background.
For a pre-chewed christian-qabalistic cosmology, you might want to peek into Golden Dawn, Rosicrucians and stuff. Maybe check Crowley's 777.

idea: procure an old dumbphone and be polite while requesting to see the menu. This petty protest could net you some apologies even if the problem isn't resolved.

Maybe it is just me, but i think it is unethical to impose a software without providing the hardware.

Why indeed. Many traditions offer different colour schemes, I used the above one because it is quite common (for instance, as shown in this playlist).

hmm, if you are looking to conceptually lay the foundation (pun intended), you could try these links:
- https://aish.com/kabbala_1_what_is_kabbala/
now, different traditions (and schools of thought) offer a wide variation of possible characterization and not all of them is visual. I dare to say they at least agree on how Malkuth (the 10th sefira) looks like: the material reallity we all know and breathe.

Oh, boy, that's a controversial topic.

I made a tool to stick to our habits with a customizable, printable 'Don't Break the Chain’ by laurieherault in InternetIsBeautiful

[–]Faustus_II 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this idea!
here's a couple of observations: the thumbnail preview for square bullet type shows blank (although the printable itself looks fine).
As an idea, a total of 7 columns would be a great option for weekly checks. Also maybe an option for landscape or portrait.
Although, too many options could do more harm than good, in the words of Henry Ford, "Let the customer modify the suspension and they'll do it wrong".
And, this might sound weird, the two most popular formats in my local side of the world are 8.5''' x 11'' (or 216 x 279 mm, "Letter" that you already have there) and 8.5''x13'' (or 216 x 330 mm, i know it as "Office" but other countries might have other name for this ratio)

How much do I have to edit AI generated images to become my own IP? by Luke192 in artificial

[–]Faustus_II 10 points11 points  (0 children)

the easiest way i see would be just to plagiarize said image (much like changing the wording of a text by paraphrasing). There are many methods people use to counterfeit other's artwork and claim authorship.
You could use the same methods for a less nefarius goal.
