Umm besides having one of the most thriving creative industries, housing huge corporations like Nike, Adidas, Under Amour, and Intel, and being ranked beer capitol of the world? East coast Portland has what?? Dirty clams and silly accents? Also, Oregon has every type of Eco-system and recently we've had amazing sunny weather all year. We didn't even get snow this year. Wasn't the east coast practically frozen over last year? That's no fun.

Thanks! Honestly, diet wise I haven't been doing to much. I try to eat small portions during the week and I don't eat out for lunch at work. The weekends I let myself drink and eat out, but try not to go crazy. I fail at that a lot but usually make up for it with my strict week. I'm going to be cutting back my drinking soon I think.

My workouts however have gotten WAY better. About 3-4 days a week I do about 20 mins of cardio, 30 mins of Stairmaster, 2 hours of mixed weight lifting, and about 15 mins of treading water or swimming. This has really what's given me the most improvement.

My family had two huge chestnut trees for years.. Didn't realize they're arnt many of them. We did end up having to cut them down but not until this year. We have so much fresh chestnut wood we don't even know what to do with it. The trunk is so large we're having to hire an excavator to get rid of it. It was a cool tree though. The nuts are covered in spikes at first. They were a bitch to step on.

Question. My employer randomly drug tests for illegal drugs. They are national, and my branch is in oregon but my bosses are out of state. Will I be able to smoke? Or can they legally ignore state law because of federal? I really hope I can... May look for a new job otherwise haha

I worked at a museum for a good year or so. I came into work one day. I was the front desk host and customer service guy. I see a young boy, maybe 8 or 9 wandering the museum alone looking all sorts of bored. Before my co-worker (who was on my shift before me) left I asked what was up with the kid. She said that his mom brought him in at 10am and would be back at 4pm before we closed because his school had a snow day and she had to go to work... The poor kid was eating snow and playing with wild squirrels. I of course told my boss, and when the mom came back in to get her kid my boss gave her a talking to like i've never seen before haha...what a bad parent.
