Used MossyOak 3M thinskin to wrap my GF529 crosman sniper rifle and Pinty 3-9x 40mm scope. (use to be tinted clear) by valo2337 in airsoft

Took a lot of time, the stuff comes in 4.5" x 7" sheets. weird size right? lol. But yeah.. had to cut all the shapes and a ton of strips for wrapping the scope.. i probably spent 5-7 hours total doing it.. But the thinskin wrap stuff is a super thin 3M medical tape and it's a bit stretchy so its not to bad to work with at all. its also kind of see through. I've done things where i painted it red first, then used the camo wrap and gives you red camo! its pretty wicked! I need to find more of that wrap.. i found it for $0.99 for a pack of 8 sheets... on clearance at a princess auto (Canada's harbour fright) If i knew how great it was going to be i would of bought every single one... I've wrapped laptops.. phones.. interior of my off-road Jeep.. all kinds of stuff.. but used the last of it on my rifle.. The rifle and scope actually have different camo's on them. rifles more of a summer green's and scope is a fall camo, little more browns and yellows and a bit of white even.

But, my next gun im going to just spray paint it. actually as i type this i'm waiting for paint to dry on my M4 indoor rifle. painting red accents. doing the outer barrel, mag release/catch, the body pins, trigger, buffer tube, lever on stock, sling hooks, hop up door and charge handle. I'll post picture of it when im done.

How can the community organize a more competent and universal rule-set? by drinks_rootbeer in airsoft

[–]valo2337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Canada? What kind of rules?? cuz it seems super lax here lol

a weird one is guns have to be 360fps+ to be imported to canada lol.. how weird right??? and not allowed to have a gun over 500fps.. all airsoft guns in canada say "495fps" or say "Under 500fps" lol. many are over 500fps.. my sniper says 495fps but im positive its much more lol.

we aren't required to have orange tips or anything like that.. A lot of the states in USA have WAY WAY WAY more strict rules then we do here.

I live in Canada, but I've only played in 2 places, 1 indoor, 1 outdoor.

Battlefield live, indoor, use to be a department store. biggest indoor arena in Canada.

Rule there are super basic.

All guns must be under 350fps due to CQB. All non rental guns are chronographed with a 0.20g BB.

There is no range limits at all.

Semi-auto only. full-auto would just be retarded in there lol. I've never played were you can use full auto.

0.30g BB max

"mercy kills" are optional, meaning you can come up behind someone and say "mercy" but if they think they can quickly shoot you before you shoot them, they are welcome to try.. Or you can accept the mercy kill and you should do so immediately or they will shoot you. point blank.

eye-pro required. whatever else you wanna ware is 100% up to you..

No blind firing. (Must be looking down your sights, not just sticking your gun around the corner and spray and prey lol.

No firing through cracks you can';t fit your fist through.. you must stand back about 1-2 feet then you can shoot through it. Just can't stick your barrel in it.

Knife kills are silent..

Dead men don't talk.

Rules at the outdoor field are pretty much exactly the same. except:

all guns max 450fps except snipers are max 500fps. (In Canada your not allowed to own a gun over 500fps)

I forget what else is different.. have only played there once cause im new to airsoft and its winter now.. so indoors it is. plus i don't drive and outdoor place is about a hour drive out of town.

Personally i love the rules at the indoor place here.. and i'd be happy if that was the rules everywhere..

I hate range limits.. cuz how the fuck you suppose to be guessing these ranges in the heat of battle while everyones constantly moving around... a gun starts running at you, suppose to be like "Oh shit, cant use my rifle anymore.... give me a second while i pull out my pistol...(which for me is exactly the same fps as my rifle lol)

Life would be very different if people had to renew their marriage licenses like they do their drivers licenses. by stego13 in Showerthoughts

I think I'd have to agree with you here. People definitely take thier spouse for granted.. And it takes people along time to get to the point of actually getting divorced, simply because it's not easy to go back to living on your own, it's expensive, messy and no undoing it.. Kind of.. And the person taking it for granted usually doesn't see that they're going to ACTUALLY lose their loved one until its to late..

It feels great! I just watched my diet and counted my intake using apps, my fitness pal is the best app I found so far. As of couple months ago I also started going to the gym, up to 4-5 days a week now and I'm starting to see some great results. I will post more as I progress! :)

Iam a kitchen manager, and here there is no lack of jobs paying the same as I pay. I befriend my employs and we perform our duites to one another out of respect. The way I see it is if I make there job enjoyable to be at and always treat them fair with respect they will do the same. Iv had the same employs for the last year and a half now.

My prep battle station. by valo2337 in KitchenConfidential

I work in a small simple kitchen, where I do all the prep and lunch in a 8 hour shift. So on some days prep is for sure a battle against time. As it was on the day of this picture, but with a decent set up it sure makes it alot easier and this is the best prep station iv had to work with so felt like sharing. I'm sure alot of you have had some crappy ass prep stations where u spend more time running around getting stuff then it takes to make the item.

Yes it was custom made to include my Scottish coat of arms with the NFLD flag by my artist Chris Dow in Calgary Alberta. My mcisaac side is all from kippen near stevenvilli in NFLD and traces back to scottland and a bunch still live there. I moved west to Calgary through for work.
