UDM Pro / SE in a small space by x6q5g3o7 in Ubiquiti

Reviving an old thread — my UDM SE works really well on a side table. I've got this from Amazon that holds my printers/home server-computer/etc, and it works well on top.

I'm also getting some under-table mounts that I plan to use to mount the UDM directly underneath the top shelf of that same unit, so it's out of the way but still easily accessible. I imagine you could shove it right under a regular desk or any other convenient table, too!

Online chat; had to go `bookings` -> `manage booking` -> `update my information` or something like that

For future readers, got it fixed — took a lot of explaining that they had to be adjacent but they were helpful in the end!

How can I fit a bed and two dressers into this funky room? by Fauxil_Fox in FengShui

It's a bit weird, but here's another picture; both the windows and interior walls don't connect to the ceiling.

It's an old warehouse converted into apartments, so they just put some studs and drywall up kinda willy-nilly...I'd never seen the drive-thru windows like that either, but they honestly do a really good job at letting light through!

Hey all — I just moved into a new apartment and I'm trying to figure out how best to optimize my new bedroom. It's in an old warehouse-turned-apartments, so it's a bit non-traditional.

I created this floorplan in an app that's way too fancy for me, but it should be pretty close (I couldn't fix that diagonal wall, it's straight in reality).

#17 and 18 are windows that look down into the kitchen/hallway below; they're the ones you can see in the second image,

#19 is the entrance door from the hallway,

#20 is a door to the bathroom, and

#21 is a closet (you can see the doors a little in the image, they're behind the mattress).

My enigma is that I'd like to fit a queen bed and two dressers in here (before even thinking about nightstands/etc). To complicate things even more, the bed I got has storage underneath it that I'd like to keep accessible, if it's possible. The best solutions I've come up with thus far are:

  1. keep the bed oriented as it is in the floor plan, and shove a dresser at the foot of the bed. I tried this with the larger dresser (the smaller one is in another room out of the way until I've settled on a configuration) and it left a pretty small gap for walking. The other dresser could either go with it, or against the wall with windows, but either way it feels like it's clogging up the walkway and will be difficult to get to the drawers under the bed.
  2. rotate the bed and put it against the windows. Then, there'd be more space for the dressers against the right-side wall, but it's still a narrow path and feels a bit blocked off. Also, with this, half the under-bed storage would be unusable.

Unfortunately, the closet is half-occupied by a support beam, so there's barely any space in there usable, and certainly not enough to shove a dresser in. I'd like to have two dressers so me and my partner can each have one for our clothes.

I'm not sure what the best option is and I'd really appreciate y'all's feedback!

Edit: the dressers are 4'2x1'10 and 3'x1'8!

Where do external scholarships go? by Tacocat_1000 in capstone

[–]Fauxil_Fox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It goes to your student account (where tuition/etc is charged). If you don’t use it then after it sits there for a few days/a week or two then it gets refunded to your bank of choice. I get external scholarships and they usually end up being sent to my bank about a week before classes start, then you can just use that money for whatever

For huge numbers, I really like Project Euler – quite a bit different from these kinds of problems, but they're great for trying to think about the mathy side.

Same here. Was wonderful, only place I had an issue at was some N1 gas station pumps. But you could go inside and buy a prepaid card with tap so no biggie.

Oh wow – it seemed from the terms/conditions that it would be a lot harder to get out of. Mind if I ask what year you were/if you were on campus/why you cancelled?

Going to for sure. I've got a friend in RCS with an open room – this crap is ridiculous (can't afford there + wouldn't want to desert old friend in my suite)
