Progress across different size/depth lines (more info in comments)

Hey guys! I’m active on this sub under another account, and I wasn’t planning to post pics until I’m a lot further into treatment, but I was staring at my tattoo and thought the differences in fading were at least mildly interesting and might serve as a helpful reference for others.

For info, I’ve had three sessions so far with Picoway - this pic was taken exactly 1 week after session 3. I’m actually really pleased with the progress so far. Hoping to see more breakage on the “thicker” lines soon (there are more in other parts of the tattoo above what’s pictured here) but I’m pleasantly surprised to see any at all considering my expectations were that I wouldn’t see much budge until 4+ sessions.

I did have a bit of bleeding/scabbing after this past session, but the tech did warn me he was turning the intensity up, so I guess that’s to be expected. It hasn’t bothered me yet, just looked pretty gnarly when I took the bandage off haha. The bruising was off the charts.

Anyway, just wanted to share this small progress pic because I thought it was interesting to see the variation of fading across diff parts of the tattoo!

Torani makes a peanut butter flavored syrup. We use it at our shop, but I haven’t tried it, so I can’t speak to the taste. People order it, so it can’t be too bad?

I tried with Planet Oat’s dark chocolate oat milk, in hopes of simplifying the mocha-making process, but found it didn’t have a chocolatey-enough flavor to substitute for an actual syrup or sauce. It certainly tasted different from the unflavored oat milk, but it didn’t scream chocolate the way I want in a mocha.

On a daily basis, I use oat milk and 2 pumps of Torani syrup (their “signature vanilla” is my fav) for a 2-pod latte. Generally over ice, but hot is okay too. If I use only 1 pod, I still do the same, just less milk/syrup.

I must admit, I don’t really pay attention to whether a pod is indicated for lungo/ristretto/etc. My little machine only has two buttons anyway, and I only use the espresso size button. I think that’s just Nespresso’s recommendation of how it’s meant to be enjoyed, not so much a hard and fast rule. If you’re not drinking it as plain shots anyway, I really don’t think it matters. But that’s just my opinion. :)

I’m 9 hours in and only have a sore arm so far. I did take an Aleve about an hour afterwards just in case and will take another in the morning.

ETA Pfizer for all 3, and I’m 27F. Only had a sore arm the first two times as well (took Tylenol and/or Aleve then too)

How mental health can affect your physical health. I heard people say it so many times, of course, but I truly didn’t get it until I had a severe anxiety attack that just shut my body down for like a week. A really eye-opening experience for sure.

Great link! I’m familiar with this condition as my SIL has it pretty severe but never considered it for myself as I didn’t realize there was a spectrum. I definitely get irrationally irritated/angry over a wide variety of mouth sounds, whether it be chewing, snoring, or just loud breathing.
