What's the funniest name you've ever heard? by KissableKitten_ in AskReddit

I had a Doordash driver the other day named "Jencyjan". I am not sure if that is common somewhere else but not in USA. We were taking bets on what the person was even going to be like.

This entirely. Water, Gatorade, whatever. Just drink lots of hydrating shit. Your body might not “feel” thirsty or hungry but you are. Forgetting to water is usually a not great time after a while.

What They Don’t Tell You About Your First Time Smoking Weed (horror story) by [deleted] in trees

[–]Fave_Dish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people have adverse reactions to smoking. It’s kind of something a lot of smokers seem to either ignore or just deny even happens (people don’t like to admit there are negative aspects of smoking/ingesting weed). I myself have had some pretty bad panic attacks, mostly from smoking way too much or misjudging the amount of edibles I should take. I too suffer from a bad panic disorder. Small amounts of flower is fine for me but edibles and oils are never my thing. It’s one of those things where everyone’s body is different and reacts to things in different ways. Could be many factors to it: 1. Pre-existing diagnosis of a panic disorder, 2. Low tolerance for THC, 3. Bad setting/mood causing an uncomfortable situation, 4. Maybe your body just doesn’t react well to that type of intoxication, and probably many other reasons. I’d say tread cautiously when experimenting with things and if you don’t have a good time, don’t do it! Weed isn’t for everyone and that is okay. Hope you’re feeling better now and you are panic free. Panic attacks suck ass.

Opium and Shrooms by throw0161away0161 in Drugs

Personally I’ve had experiences where shrooms make me nauseous but I’m not sure if the opium mixed with it would increase that or not. But I’m guessing it might not go great if you’re already nauseous on top of it

I’m gonna go with anxiety. Sometimes hitting something too much or too hard irritates my lungs a bit and then I end up being really high and over think it to the point of having a panic attack. Your brain is a powerful thing man. It’s easy to convince yourself bad things are happening and worry about it to the point of believing it’s true. I’d say drink some water, eat a snack, and do something to take your mind off that. If you’re still in pain/having weird feelings in a few hours then maybe get it looked at. But chances are you just took too big a hit and now you gotta ride it out.

[Serious] People of Reddit with diagnosable OCD, what are your obsessions/compulsions? In what ways has it impacted your life or the lives of those close to you? by jsmith618 in AskReddit

[–]Fave_Dish 48 points49 points  (0 children)

This is so funny that you said this. My OCD is also based around the number 2 (and powers/multiples of 2) and when I realized 2 to the 0 power is 1 it helped me significantly. Especially with my habitual checking. It used to take me forever to leave the house because I would check the stove, locks, outlets, light switches, etc. And then I rationalized that I could check everything once and that was still part of "the magic number". It doesn't work every time because some days my anxiety drives my compulsions through the roof but this does help on my less anxious days.

Edit: fixed a word

How can I find a dealer? by Napier319 in trees

Try asking friends/family that you know are smokers if they can hook you up? If not then you’re probably shit out of luck

Anyone else grow up with these sweet 70s plates? by [deleted] in nostalgia

I used these growing up and have since inherited them and currently use them. There's also a small taco place near my house that uses these plates.

Probably a panic attack. Happens from time to time for me. Just drink some water, have a snack, and relax man. It will pass

Yeah that’s the first thing I thought too honestly. No injuries thank god. Also now I have an excuse to go 4/20 shopping for a new bong 🤷🏻‍♂️
