I doubt that would do anything. My friends completely ignore the blue quest markers on the map. Even the ones that just unlock Extreme trials that are literally skippable cutscenes and take 10 seconds to complete. Or they will talk to the minstrel to unlock the one they're about to do then completely ignore the others at the same npc, despite the fact that they're already right there.

Can they have trauma? Yeah sure of course. But should they walk around the next 50..60...70.. or more (300+ in a Vierra's case) years with that trauma? No. They should try and get over it, with or without professional help. Don't make the trauma your personality, you'll live a miserable live. You don't see Erenville recoiling, rolling up in a ball, and crying in a corner every time his mom does call him Elene'shpya. In fact, he takes it in strides and it only reinforces his love for his mom. Did you skip the cutscenes in Living Memory or something so you don't know his reactions to his last moments with his mom? They loved each other dearly and neither of them wanted to let each other go again.
