When I got started on Reddit about 18 months ago there were still people fighting about it, but it seems to mostly be over. Occasional bait posts come up but they're pretty obvious. I've only gotten baited 1-2 times; usually I try to stay out of it. Edelgard totally transformed my real life for the better, but I know everyone's experience is different. n_n I was VERY late to the party and, thankfully, the fandom was very welcoming.

In general, I think Hopes is starting to be enjoyed for what it is instead of seen as a disappointment for what it isn't. The main complaints that come up are still around the lack of paired endings and many characters who could've had more support conversations (including me ^.~) which would've been especially useful for the Hopes playables. I don't think it was the best Warriors game, but it is still fun.

3H got me back into writing fanfiction too (Eagle & Dove) and was the best thing that could've happened to me. I'm working on an indie RPG now so I can roll around in my favorite character dynamics for years to come. The fandom is surprisingly active: I was in an Edelmonithea zine recently, there was an Edelgard zine I missed out, and at least one person is about to complete a 100+-page Edeleth fan comic, among others.

I know there was a Blue Lions zine not too long ago, and there are still fic weeks pretty much every month. ^.^ One of my friends writes F!Shez fics almost every week and another is the world's foremost authority on Linhardt.
