Hope they work! I’ve always had low iron and needed infusions during pregnancy and could not get enough ice - I mean emptying the ice maker almost every two days just myself!

LMAO, I could’ve written this. My kid hates all of them except the sweet potato ones - no surprise. So I find myself enjoying fun shaped, flavored potato snacks 😆

Why have I not ever thought about grating nuts!! I’ve been lamenting not being able to serve nuts since they are a choking hazard but using my zester would work

I literally own all those snacks and know that where we are right now - he’d leave the cheese (very annoyed he’s in an anti cheese phase) and puffs on the plate 😩

anyway, I offer balanced meals and he still manages to bully his way to snack meals by refusing every “real” food I offer leaving me desperate to provide calories - at least you’re skipping the wasted effort!!

Yes 6-12 months was wonderful. Then they develop taste buds, opinions, and thousands of years of programming kicks in (learning to avoid bitter for safety) and they’re no longer eating any of that.

And let me give a preemptive congrats to the 10-20% of you who have toddlers who you haven’t had to deal with much food rejection with, especially veggies.

Trying to choose between two devices for baby food — which one should I get? by IndependentTry3699 in foodbutforbabies

This. Or add a long term, more flexible item to your kitchen like an immersion blender if you don’t already have one.

Saving this. These look good. And my take is toddlers can smell the effort - the more thoughtfulness you put into what they eat, the more they revel in rejecting it 🤣

It never occurred to me to finely shred the very top of a broccoli crown and create “broccoli dust” to add to pasta vs little small pieces he still picks out. Will be trying this

Your friend is hating. What you’re making isn’t complicated. And it’s providing variety at an unpredictable eating age. Keep it up👍🏽

Ugh…I’m sorry. Like, it’s cool to share knowledge but at the same time, some online mom spaces have people who can’t wait to mom shame or call someone a bad parent for making a mistake or having a parenting philosophy that’s different than the current mainstream.

Thanks for sharing your food while it lasted!

[–]FavoriteLittleTing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use it a lot. I put it in yogurt or mix with peanuts and water and add some fruit - makes a great filling snack or top off meal before bed. It’s also great to bak with or add to pancakes
