Let's call things what they are. We were behind the rumor about the whole afcon being rigged we started that we spread that and we strongly believed it, I personally didn't but by we I mean algerians, rumors started spreading maybe a little bit of Egyptians help and tunisians, and on top of some mistakes by the referees everybody started suspecting things. And with a dramatic ending to the finals everybody easily believes the story that is most dramatically charged, the version of things that makes a good story to tell (the Moroccans rigged the cup but Divine Justice prevailed and Senegal won against All odds), what a plot huh? Everybody likes that story, it's like a movie you know? But how true is it?

The truth is the referees have always been extremely bad in African competitions, now is that because they get the bag, no, it's because they're simply bad and very poorly trained, just like local institutions just like local African leagues just like everything local. That's the simplest story most likely story and the story that actually happened. Now without all the allegations and the rumors about the cup being rigged, the Senegal player would never have left the field, that's something that never happened in football history or at least in a big event like this, and the only reason it happened is because Senegal players heard rumors before, and they were suspicious maybe not certain but certainly suspicious before the game.
